Happy New Year!

Something has been troubling me for days, it didn't take me long to figure it out - (withdrawal symptoms from crafting), so here is something I whipped up for Katharina's holiday sketch for fun and you never know someone could win a cute stamp. This creation is on a 6 inch square base card with some taupe/beige textured paper i found in my stash, turquoise paper which was a scrap download can't remember from where, used Anna Griffin clear border stamp with clear inkpad and kettle copper embossing powder and heat embossed. This is so shiny in real and enjoyed using it after so long. I had a pack of six from QVC so long ago and couldn't get the hang of it. Then I'd seen somewhere to heat the BACK so the powder doesn't blow away and hey presto! it does work!
It's very shiny, raised well and works! See below

I had to match it to make the corner. The main image is from Pink Poison which is now renamed the Greeting Farm, fab company run by Marie and the stamp set is called the Wishing Tree. To achieve this look is simply stamped with clear ink pad and brown chalked all over (see first pic), birds are h/emb too and they come with this set. The sentiment is from below as I don't have a new year stamp and wanted to use this font.

I took only the part I needed and h/emb it!

Parts are raised onto f/pads, brown gel pens to accent, red gems for a bit of bling, copper cord from stash and finished with matching bow. Hope you like, sorry it's a long post but I got away with some tricks & wanted to explain how it was achieved. I've accumulated alot of stash bought from QVC so I will sort out and start to use next year. Hopefully try to get my other creation on here but if not would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!!!

Kaboodles 16 'male cards'

I wanted to take part in this challenge so I could use up some Kaboodles downloads papers but realised as yet I don't possess a decent male stamp. So I went into my freebies file and found this 'lil footballer' from
Kerry Steptoe ( a really talented lady who does these wonderful drawings for some stamp companies). Go and see her blog, you won't be disappointed and Kerry gives away freebies as long as you respect her copyright. So here it goes...
The papers are from the Kaboodles Halloween download, black card from stash, the sentiment is from one of the See D's stamps Boys Toys, and also the football image which on one I've lifted with a foam pad, fine black liner pen for accenting and also white sakura gel pen which i can't do without these days. The cute image is coloured with copics YR07 orange, YG06 green , haven't got a clue which team he belongs to as I went with the colours of the papers but it was fun! I've used decorative scissors to clip the corners. I like to give my images 'ground' so they're not floating on the white card so I've used pencil watercolours and for his hair too as I don't have the correct brown in my copics but soon hoping to add to my collection. I've left his socks white not dirty as he's been good and saving his mummy a job from trying to get the mud stains out! An orange button from stash with a tiny bit of raffia to embellish. No glamour dust this time, it was hard to resist though. Thanks for looking and I'd like to wish everyone a very happy christmas and a bright and crafty 2009!!!

Friday Sketchers Challenge 32

Today I'd like to show this creation which I'm quite proud of and thanks for this sketch. The paper is from the new E-shop Making Handmade Cards free download I got when I joined the newsletter subscription, the green is from DCWV cardstock neutrals, tilda at the sea-side coloured in copics YG06 green, BG09 blue green, ROO skin. The puddle and hair is watercoloured as I didn't have those colours in copics. The flower embellishment is cut from the backing paper and mounted onto scrap card and lifted with foam pads, the text is a tiny wooden stamp I bought ages ago from town craft shop (perfect for small tags) and a piece of fabric which was originally a label price tag on some trousers.Sakura white gel pen and my fine black liner pen for accenting, glamour dust for sparkle, limey coloured flat gems from Josey Rose Boutique and 3 small blue stones from stash for a bit of bling. Finish ... I think. Hope you like and thanks for looking.

Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge 29 'Happy New Year'

Hi there, and thanks for looking. I've used some DCWV papers on this new year card along with a new Rachelle Anne Miller stamp, Lily and Milo 'for you' which is heat embossed and mixture of glittery gel pens used. Red blingy ribbon which I thought would round off the old year and bring in the new one and a round sentiment off one of the Studio G clear stamps mounted onto the black. Stitching from the sewing machine is added and white sakura gel pen for accenting around. I'm still finding my feet with my camera hence the light box trial with this pic. I'm not sure if I've done it right this time but there's room for perfection still anyway just like to wish everyone a happy christmas and a crafty new year!!! Thanks for looking.

Sketch Saturday
This is a new challenge blog I found the other day and I thought would be great to try out my new stamp from Sally. Thanks so much! So this is for Sketch Saturday Sketch 28.
The paper is from Forever Friends 'with love' pad and I've attached a piece of lime dotty off-cut from Kaboodles christmas paper range, placed a thin piece of co-ordinating ribbon from stash and sewn with my machine in black thread, stamped 'maggie with patch' with stazon and a bit of watercolouring, copics skin R00 for face etc, silver gel pen for head band, sentiment from old QVC kit foam stamps, 3 of my white crotchet flowers and pink brads to finish with silver glitter glue and pink glitter gel pen. Thanks for looking.
Magnolia meets Stampavie Challenge 6 'xtra tags'

I have missed taking part in these challenges for a few weeks now but I hope this one will do.So for
Magnolia meets Stampavie the stamp is Sarah Kay 'joy of giving', see last post for matching card. Handcut the tag .The dusky pink paper is off-cut from the Vintage HOTP, the image is subtly watercoloured as I didn't want to ruin this gorgeous image with my inexperienced colouring. I'll get there one day. My crotchet flower with small pink brad from old QVC kit straight through the silver ropey thing from stash. No need for hole punch or eyelet.Crystal dust added for a touch of sparkle and accented with gel pen. Finish! Hope you like, bye for now.

Friday Sketchers
This is my little effort for this challenge, I've not taken part in this one for weeks now and thought what better to use Claudia's candy that I won for her own sketch. I chose the Stampavie ones and they are too gorgeous. Obviously I'm nowhere near to all those talented creative people out there and trust me Claudia and one or two others have real talent, well...maybe a few others too!

So my card for Friday Sketchers is 10cm x 21cm and was near perfect, as it was from an old QVC kit. The papers are from HOTP Vintage 8 x 8 papers.I've added ribbon/lace from own stash and machined it with white thread as glue dots or double tape would simply have not held it.Sentiment is from See-D's from QVC mounted onto silver mirri card, image is Stampavie's 'joy of giving' if I'm correct, slightly watercoloured as I didn't want to ruin this beautiful image and wanted to do justice to the wonderful people who have created her, i can see so many possibilities like birthdays that I would use this stamp. Mounted onto mirri, a bit of doodling around edges with brown gel pen and crystal dust on parts and lastly but not least added my hand crotched flower with mini brad from stash to finish!

I've been doing another batch of flowers with some 2 ply wool I found up in the loft, nicely wrapped and tucked for when I had a craving to knit. So maybe you'll see a bit of my flowers on my creations. Hope you like and tomorrow there will be something matching to this card. Bye for now.

Thankyou!

Claudia sent me these gorgeous stamps all the way from America! Thanks so much Claudia, I really didn't think I had a chance with all the entries for the blog candy but i was picked as one of the ladies didn't come forward to claim her prize a few weeks ago. There's a few that I've forgotten to claim but all is well in the end!!!

Anyway Claudia's work is outstanding and her creative talent is one of the best I've ever seen. And in case you've been on another planet and don't know who i'm talking about click on her name for a wealth of creativity. You'll be in another world as I discovered back in July this year! See you in a bit as I've used one of these for the Friday Sketchers challenge.

One card, three challenges

Cute Card Thursday this week is 'hearts', Kaboodle 15 is 'embossing' and Penny Black challenge is 'sketch 4 by Beth' and of course I've used a PB image.

The pink papers are from the E-shop Making Handmade Cards, the purple is DCWV cardstock that came in Juliets candy which I've ran through the cuttlebug and embossed with stylized flowers embossing folder. Stitching is done by machine, the sentiment was from a QVC TSV See-D's kit which is stamped with lilac ink and then I've used Melissa Frances clear round stamp on top to give a round sentiment and cut it by hand. I've used RV04 pink copic for heart and lightly coloured the cute hedgehog with my soft metallic pencils. Ribbon is from own stash, gem from Josey Rose in corner and crystal dust around sentiment, heart and flowers to finish off! Hope you like, bye for now!
I have redrawn a winner for the runner up prize as the previous winner didn't get in touch with me, so...
Karen
Congratulations!

A Spoonful of Sugar 28 'Thank you'

Well, I've been browsing around a few blogs and seeing valentines creations so I thought I would make this Wishing Tree from Pink Poison into a love tree (if that makes sense).
The card is only a small one the usual size I go with is 13cm x 13 cm, so I was quite surprised when this gorgeous stamp nearly fitted my blank except I had to cut off the stump at the bottom of it. I don't like to do that but I did on this occassion. So there we have it in black stazon and edged with red ink, the papers are downloads from Summer Driggs (summertime designs) free, I just love her designs and what better when it's for free, brown is accented with sakura white gel pen, red stitching with my new machine and I can't wait to show you all the different stitches it does,(it's my bestest friend at the moment).
The love letters come with this set and so much more. Stamped them 5 times and coloured with my red copic, small scrap of ribbon wrapped round the trunk and silver gem, added glamour dust to the hearts on the letters. I've left one off the tree as if it's falling or just landed (sounds like an aeroplane). And lastly but it was the first thing I did was the sentiment foam stamp from an old QVC kit. Love their kits, like to buy something that I can use over and over again! Thanks for looking and have a great Sunday even though it's freeeeeezing!!!

Kaboodles 14 'scallops' and ABC 't is for threes'

This creation has been combined for 2 challenges. Kaboodles would like you to have scalloped edges any where, and ABC would like to see you use items in threes, hence 3 snowflakes and 3 different sheets of paper, 2 of which are Kaboodles own Contemporary Christmas range and one little bit left from my last card which I couldn't see go to waste. So here we go...
This is only a small card 13cm x 13cm. The scallop edged strip which was hand cut guided by plastic stencil has been attached to the dotty paper and sewn with red thread by machine, used a compass cutter to cut circle from swirly paper which is from Lets Make Cards download for Crafts Beautiful free download, again cut another circle onto white card and stamped the cute little mouse with black stazon and gently watercoloured. This image is from a rubber plate with some other stamps on and is from Crafters Companion, I don't know what he's called but I'm sure he has a name. Lovely character and could be used for beautiful wintry cards not just for christmas, then with a glitter red pen accented around. ( click to enlarge).
I've punched snowflakes from the x-cut punch and adhered some crystal dust and red gems to all three, the one the mouse is touching is raised onto foam pads as was the circle with mouse on to meet the same height. The beautiful sentiment which i thought was so appropriate is from Chris's Sweet n Sassy stamps range, so easy to work with and clear. Chris has so much inspiration on her blog too,so do check it out! That's it for now, have a good weekend and thanks for looking. :)
Papertake Weekly Challenge 'recipe'

Well, for this week it is a recipe challenge - 1 ribbon, 2 rectangles, 3 embellishments.
I 've used the Wishing tree set from Marie for this challenge, just couldn't wait to use it. Now I mainly do small cards, not much of a large card fan but somehow as this gorgeous tree was crying out to me I just had to make a large card (A4 folded in half) as it is a large stamp . The set actually has a lot on it see the previous post. So here we go...

The swirly papers are a download from Lets Make Cards which gave them away on Crafts Beautiful online giveaway last weekend, stuck down on some good heavyweight cardstock, and faux stitching with my black pen, the 2 reddish rectangles paper is from stash, it's not a true red but a little on the orangey side so it went well with the red in the swirls and I layered some more of the backing paper and stitched with my machine in black. The tree is stamped with black stazon and faux stitched in black pen, 3 embellishments are the baubles which are included on the set coloured with copics YG06 green and R29 red and lifted with foam pads. The 1 ribbon was difficult to find as initially i wanted a red to go but didn't have the correct shade so i remembered I had some pale limey grosgrain ribbon in an old QVC kit so that was that. Finished off with a greeting from the same set and crystal dust added to parts of tree and baubles. Hope you like.. thanks for looking!
Thankyou's

Maria sent me this, I was chosen from her October draw. Thanks!

Penny Black Challenge 25 'No Patterned Paper'

I've been away for a little while playing with my new toy (sewing machine). So what perfect way to show it off, I mean my stitching. I had the last one for 23 years and these new ones have so much in them that yet again it's more reading to how does it do what? Well any way this isn't what my creation was suppose to look like but as the lilac/ purple thread was already in the bobbin i thought i would go with that colour way. So here we go...

Base card is heavyweight and slightly textured and I've zig-zagged down both sides, then also same round the stamped image which was sent to me by Sheila but did this on a tighter stitch, (sorry don't know what it's called), coloured with metallic colouring pencils as they are much softer and the green and yellow are done with glitter pens.Crystal dust is added to accent parts of image, found a co-ordinating yellow piece of card from stash and layered it, embossed dots are done with old brass stencil and light box only on areas where I needed them, sentiment is a stamp from Tesco's and hole punched, doodled around and threaded through some posh ribbon, yellow paper flower and brad from stash to finish!!! I think it will do, thanks for looking and have a nice day!

ABC Challenge 'S for Snow'

Happy Sunday everyone!
This creation I have saved for today, the green tartan-like paper is from stash I bought ages ago, it's actually double-sided but I chose to use the darker side, red paper is from stash too, image is download from the new E-shop Making Handmade Cards .com run by a lady called Claire.Watercoloured and added red copic R29 for rudolph's scarf, crystal dust for the snow on the ground, text underneath comes with the download, accented around with red gel pen, tab is handcut, stamped using stazon with Melissa Frances clear stamps I bought from QVC ages ago, faux stitching round with silver gel pen, snowflake punched with x -cut, crystal dust added, red gem from Josey Rose Boutique and also the same for rudolph's red nose, and last but not least the red blingy ribbon which is stuck on to card and then a separate bow made and stuck down with a glue dot and it has stayed on, pheeeww! That is the ribbon included in my main candy. So sorry for pic quality, but I hope it's something to inspire, come back later to see who the winners are. Thanks for looking!

Cute Card Thursday 38 'lilac'
Slight change of plans with the creation I was going to show you lovely people today as I wanted to save it till tomorrow (candy day). I'm so surprised at the number of comments I've had for the candy draw, thanks to each and everyone of you! So I whipped this one up to show how I've used some contents of my main candy.

The blank I started with is slightly textured, stamped some flowers with the Crafters Companion Girls stamp set with lilac inkpad, ran some DCWV lilac (even though it looks alot darker ) cardstock in the Stylized Flowers embossing folder through the cuttlebug (this one is mine, a new one is included in the main candy), stamped the cute kitty image from the same stamps and gently watercoloured her, mounted onto pink paper from stash, stretchy ribbon has metal charm through it and tied in a little bow, my crotchet flowers has one of the blingy gems (included in my main candy) which I've handsewn as a glue dot would simply not have held it together and sewn this straight to the card. No sentiment as I'm not sure which little girl this one will go to. Silver glue gel used to accent the image and some flowers and inked edges to finish.

It's so cloudy round here to take a good picture and to scan it I would lose the bling. Hope it's ok, you get the idea... tomorrow there will be a main winner and 4 runners up so don't forget to enter my candy on the post to the right. Good luck to everyone. Bye for now.
Day 20 of Sally's giveaway, don't miss out!

A very funky pink creation

This one is going for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge 24 ' Funky Christmas'. I'm hoping to venture out a little bit more and enter different challenges. Papers are from Kaboodles latest Christmas kit and have used the remainder of the papers from my last creation. Are these funky or what?

Copics RV04 pink and YG06 green are used on the image, the rest is gently coloured in with metallic pencils and give a slight glisten which can't really be picked up here. Added crystal dust , ribbon from stash, gems which are really lime green from Josey Rose Boutique, sentiment is computer generated in curlz font and printed onto the paper after I printed out the funky dots. Finished but is it funky enough?

Don't forget to enter my candy, last day is Sunday and I'd just like to say for a beginner I'm nearly doubled with what I started out with 2 weeks ago, it's alot for me!!! So thank you to all who are coming to visit.
We're onto Day 19 of Sally's great giveaway!

Ila has celebrations in order of her 100,000 hits (hope I've put in the right amount of zeros), Wow but not only one candy but two. How generous is that?

Bev has some brilliant Pink candy. You can win some of her crotchet snowflakes in the bundle of yummy goodies.

Cathrine has a beautiful Stampavie stamp to give to some lucky crafter.

Kaboodle 13 'shaped cards and items'

This week at kaboodle square and rectangular cards are out. So instead I've created a round card, using their own Christmas kit that i won previously. Lovely colours and really enjoy using thier downloads. I used a small plate for the circle :) So this shaped card has a funky appeal to it, everything on there is from Kaboodle apart from the bit of ribbon I couldn't bear to throw away so I folded it and stuck it under the pink dotty paper, the silver sequins from own stash and the sentiment is from a collection of Do-crafts Whispers stamps that I bought long time ago and have been just sitting around. There was a happy crafty mistake on this one but I think I've got away with it! Happy Crafting All , Hope you like this one, special effort from me this week with a card a day to share with you as my candy ends on Sunday, don't forget to enter. Bye for now.

It's Day 18 of Sally's stamp a day giveaway.

My creation for Belli challenge CBC # 19

Some weeks ago I won a set of stamps from Chris Dickinson who is a senior team member of Sweet n Sassy Stamps. They came all the way from America to England in quick time too. I could only pay my gratitude by making something out of them. I was only too amazed. These clear stamps are superbly made and stamp beautifully too, little room for mistakes. Chris has a challenge on her blog, 'Belli Challenge' where you can make projects from things that have been lying around or unused as there are evergrowing materials coming out everyday on the market. Every week there is a different one, this week you can choose from all the by gone Belli's. Well, i had visited Chris's blog several times and thought about entering one day and now i can. So thankyou Chris for these, I hope I have done justice to your stamps with my very first creation with your fantastic stamps. I don't expect to win second time but it's been fun and this creation is for CBC #19 white gel pen.

Cardstock used is textured and heavyweight but not sure which weight it is .Snowflake in centre has been heat embossed in black pigment ink and clear embossing powder, then I've gone alround in clear versamark ink and stamped with the same stamp and chalked over with grey, the sentiment has been heat embossed in the same way and mounted onto some blue DCWV neutrals cardstock which I received from a candy, the frame is handcut from same card, white mini brads added and white Sakura gel pen faux stitching, then lifted with foam pads to stand out. Black fine waterproof pen used for accenting around card and three gemstones added to finish on sentiment. Simple card not too heavily embellished I'm afraid but sometimes less is more! What do you think?

a close up side view.
Sally is on Day 17... don't missout!

Cute Card Thursday 'snow and snowflakes'

I've enjoyed creating this one as everything is a download on here. The paper is a taster from the new E-shop Making Handmade Cards .com
I've used a long DL pale pink base card from an old QVC kit, pink paper is from the christmas funky kit and has faux zig-zag stitching with black liner pen, image is from the taster same range, used Copics R29 for nose and Rv04 for scarf, watercoloured all the other bits are watercoloured and red gem for Rudolphs nose and crystal dust on scarf, mounted onto silver mirri card. Snowflakes punched with X-cut punch, covered with glue and crystal dust, pink gems attached, the bottom one has 2 layers of snowflake, the text comes with the image. Hope you like and if you do check out the new shop. That's all for now and thanks for visiting!

Edited to add
Don't forget my candy on the post to the right and also Sally is on Day 16 of a stamp a day giveaway! Good Luck!

Monday, 24 November 2008

Good morning Monday!

Today this creation is going for 2 challenges. ABC 'ribbon' and A Spoonful of Sugar 26 'Blooming marvellous', so instantly I knew it wasn't going to be a christmas card!

The flowery papers are from the energy range Summer Driggs website summertime designs. This talented lady has designed wonderful papers all linked to her family and offers them for free downloads. The stripes are from Shabby Princess Promises range free downloads.
The ribbons are from own stash and the embellishment in the middle of the bow is part of my candy that come in a chain and you cut off what you need.
Tilda at the sea-side is the stamp I won from jeanettes candy, Thank you Jeanette! I've paper pieced her with the stripes from the leftovers from the backing paper, Copics are used even though I don't feel confident as to how to use them properly, slowly but surely I'll get there, RV04 for ribbon in hair and R00 for skin but I don't know how to do the rosy cheeks yet. The rest is lightly watercoloured. Someone out there must be thinking 'why mix the two colouring methods?' but I don't feel I have the hang of it with the Copics totally and I need some add on colours to expand into other softer colours.
Her frill has been accented with crystal dust, doodled around with pink gel pen, sentiment using Melissa Frances clear stamps in black Stazon and silver sequins to finish off!

Don't forget to enter my candy on the post to the right. Happy Crafting all!

CANDY ALERT

Sally is on Day 13 of her stamp giveaway for the rest of this month. What a generous lady.

Christi has a fab farm stamp set for a lucky candy winner. Go and see her creations and such a fab blog.

Janette has a stamp set to give too! They are the Primitive christmas ones, who would want to miss out on this one!
Kaboodle 12 'Monochrome'

I think I may be just in time for this one, Kaboodle Doodles want either black or white or any single colour with shades, so I've gone with their own blue paper pack. I love this paper and I've gone with the long DL cards for the last two i made and I've made them right to the edge instead of leaving a border around it. It's very simple card, nothing too complicated.
I've stuck a thin off-cut from one of my cards down the middle, handcut using oval plastic templates to guide me with cutting the scallop with the scissors, accented with co-ordinating gel pen, image is a stamp I picked up for a pound at the local in town craft shop, coloured with gel pen, abit of crystal dust and three sequins to finish off. Thanks for taking the time to look and have a good weekend and don't forget to enter my blog candy on the post to the right.

Magnolia meets Stampavie Challenge
OK I hope you can read this alright, this creation is for Magnolia meets Stampavie challenge week 3 'tie that sketch'.
I have tried to do one card per challenge this week, however this is some thing I'm quite pleased with. the brown papers are from Summer Driggs beautimous collection free downloads and the pink floral paper is from the new E-shop Making Handmade Cards
The image is sweet lili from sarah kay which is lightly watercoloured, edged with chalk and crystal dust added, white sakura gel pen for faux stitching around card and also the scalloped edge done with plastic template and hand cut, the brown gros grain ribbon and button from own stash, sentiment from Tescos which says my friend has been clear versa marked and brown chalked, mounted onto some of the brown, and lastly three gems added from Josey Rose Boutique. Finished!
Hi all, is it me or have all these letters gone too small? The thing is I've changed my ISP(internet provider) and even though it's been a learning curve I hope things will settle quickly. I'll try to get something on here that I made days ago.

Penny Black Challenge 'Monochromatic'

This is my first time to this challenge. The image was kindly sent to me along with some others by Sheila as a runner up prize. I've used my copic pens RV04 pink and R00 for skin. I'm not getting on with them too well, I really need to find a good tutorial to help me. Nevermind, the rest is done in normal gel pens and edged with pink ink pad, them mounted onto silver miiri card and 3 gems added from Josey Rose Boutique. The Prima flower has a white brad from old QVC kit. Silver glitter glue and black fine liner pen to finish off.

Now to the papers, I found this lady Claire (I don't even remember where I found her) who has just launched her own E-shop, it's called Making Handmade Cards. These are the papers in the Floradoodle kit you get when you subscribe to her newsletters etc. There are so many colourways and was amazed how much she has given away for free. If your on the priority list of new things that come out ,you get little tasters so to speak. Just subscribe to the free newsletter and get printable papers for free! Have fun and thanks for looking.

Don't forget to enter my blog candy. Just leave a comment on the post to the right and link back to me.
Thankyou's

Cute Card Thursday 'green and red'

This creation I've just done for a single challenge this time... Copics were used on this one... R00,100,B29,G17,R29,Y06,E29. As you can see I'm very new to these markers as I've never used any of any sort on my colouring of images before.
The papers are from free downloads from either Crafts Beauitful or Papercraft Inspirations(can't remember). Just the right colours for this challenge. The image is stamped with black stazon and is a clear stamp from a kit off QVC some time ago. I've not used this image before and I forgot I even had these boxes of goodies stashed away. Edged with some red ink. Some sequins used for tops of trees, computer generated sentiment in Comic sans font and tiny gems added, silver glitter glue to finish santas uniform...I think that 's it....Oh don't forget to enter my blog candy. There's runner up prizes too!
Thanks for looking, have a good day!

Look at what I've received from the most talented Jeanette. This marvelously talented lady passed this wonderful award to me and it's my first so I say 'Thank you Jeanette', thank you for thinking of me, I'm no where near brilliantly talented as you are and I am extremely proud to receive this. So here it will stay unless someone can tell me what I must do with it as I'm not familiar with the 'must's and do's' when you receive these amazing awards.

Any way I shall try to get a creation of mine on here today. First I've got to think what I'm going to make... Oh and don't forget to enter my very first blog candy in the post below. I only started blogging in June this year and loving it, and people please bare with me if I 've made a few bloopers, didin't mean to, I just have to wrestle with my computer now and again to get it to do what I want. Of course it's not the 'puters fault, I'm still trying to get on with this new found technology which for me is a triumph. Thanks for reading this. Bye for now!

Another blue card

Thoroughly enjoyed making this card. There are quite a few challenges it fits. The first being Kaboodle 11 'buttons and bling', then Papertake Weekly 'Dawny's sketch 2', A Spoonful of Sugar 25 'a childs card' and lastly ABC ' q for quick cards'. I think that's enough.

The blue papers are from Kaboodle pink and blue range, the yellow from stash box, cornered off using my scallop scissors, the image is a free download from Dinky Dots called 'Eskimo AJ Fishing'. They have cute downloads and now have stamps too, so thanks for that freebie. I got this ages ago and this is the first time I've used it.
I ve created a bit of ground and the little whirl pool myself. Also it's the first time I've used my Copics on an image. ROO for face,YO6 for hair and boots and E29 for fishig rod. The rest I've gently watercoloured as the rest of my colours are vibrant copics and I really wanted to keep this card subtle and not ruin it. I got 12 pens for £23.50 in a proper case then I bought the skin colour on its own. Anyway...the bling is the crystal dust around the rim of the coat, buttons from create and craft from ages ago.The round sentiment is hand cut, computer generated from the Brian Cary font, brad added from stash. Lovely jubbly! Oh I finished off with a bit of doodling as I was still within the 20 minutes quick card range.

ETA: Don't forget my blog candy further up.

Sally has a stamp to give away. One-a-day . How generous.
Ohhhh surprise surprise, no it's not Cilla Black! Well while my counter went for walkies today I managed to calm myself down and did something totally different from crafting.

Wow, my guardian angel must have seen how distraught I was and then summoned a miracle ( big smile). Any body would think it's only a counter but to me it was the only thing that was telling me to get my goodies together for my candy. Well, after all 1,000 visitors means alot to me even though most could be me hitting the button by mistake :) Ooooops!!! Something to show you all in a bit. Back soon.
OK, here we go...where has my counter gone that I was relying on to start off my blog candy? What is going on? I would like my counter back who ever it is who has taken it PLEASE.

At the last count I looked last night it was 937, I need to have it back to start off my candy....aaaaaarrrghhh!!! I had everything going smoothly and organised.... does anyone know out there...anyone?

Hi all! This is the creation I was working on last week and managed to decide what image I wanted on it today. Thankyou Jeanette for the wallet this is based on and this wonderful image Tilda under fall leaf. The card stock is from Fancy Pants and is double-sided, that was a little something from Papercraft Inspirations as my card was shown in their mag. Unfortunately I think I missed it. Nevermind. It's wonderful to work with and very sturdy for this project.

Turquoise grosgrain ribbon from old QVC kit, sentiment from a cheap stamp at Tesco's stamped with black stazon, scalloped edge with scissors, edged with red ink and mounted on to silver mirri board. Tilda has been gently watercoloured and silver dust added to leaf and her wings and heart.

The inside... the corners have been stamped with Gunhilds stamps I won in her candy.Absolutely love these stamps. Thanks! Well that's it for now, thanks for looking and I'm looking forward to my next creation. :)

A close up
Thank you!

One card, three challenges again!

I whipped this card up very quickly once I knew what I wanted to combine 3 challenges. So this creation is for ABC challenge 'P is for Pink', Spoonful of Sugar 'Trina's sketch' which I've rotated, and lastly Cute Card Thursday 35 'Fairies and Angels'. So here we go:-

The dotty background is from one of the mags I buy free downloads, the beautiful pink paper is from Kaboodles 'pink and blue range', the sentiment is from Tescos I picked up ages ago and fairy stamp which has been watercoloured is from so long ago ( a mail order channel which shut down). The butterfly has pink glitter pen on it and the fairy's wings have crystal dust on them. Brads from QVC HOTP Vintage kit, pretty posh ribbon from Elin(I won her candy). Thank you Elin. Daisy punch for flowers and faux stitching on the pink panel. I think that is it... thanks for looking and don't forget to come back next week to take a look at my candy I will be offering. Have a good weekend!

The very first one for...

Magnolia Vs Stampavie Week 1

I thought this challenge required alot of thought as there seemed to be a lot going on with this sketch. However here we go...

I've used HOTP Friendship papers, I love these as they are all well co-ordinated. Accented some faux stitching with black pen, pale pink ribbon from stash box, paper flowers accented with some wonderful gems from Josy Rose Boutique, Tilda which was part of the candy from Jeanette, thank you Jeanette, has been gently watercoloured and lifted with foam pads, crystal dust added to the flowers and her plaits, such a cute image I love them all, and lastly the sentiment is a stamp from the See D's range. Thanks for taking the time to look.

Edited this post to add this scanned image as I realised the first picure is not enlarging. I don't like to scan gems and mirri card, they turn out black but I really like this creation and wanted to show as close to real life.
