Thanks again Faith. I've got stuck a couple of times for cards to give for those awkward situations. An occassion to say perhaps... 'I feel your pain as I've been there myself' but not quite got hold of the right image. Well Faith has given another one of her freebies away Peace & Comfort, it comes with a Peace sentiment and the one I've used below. As it was going to be a very simple card, I printed out two of the same flowers, cut round and layered onto the other with foam squares for a bit of dimension, you might spot the sheer ribbon at the side (it needed something). Challenges entered are Designed 2 Delight Digital Stamps, their sister challenge Double Delight sponging/distressing (I've used my unpicker to distress around the card), Colour Create 'All White option of Embossing', Crafty Catz stitching, OSAAT Anyhting Goes, The Secret Crafter Purple & Silver (added Glamour Dust is my silver ;), Fab N Funky 'Is it black/white plus 1 other colour'. I think there will be a few more made and put away, hope it inspires you and many thanks for visiting!

Happy Monday to all! Wow, what can I say... I won a super fantastic digi kit from the Creative Cottage last week...'THankyou' it's the cute Little Monkeys Wild West kit and sooo perfect for quick boys/mens cards, I'm entering in their own # 23 Birthday Boy. I turned mine into an easel for Polka Doodles, gave it some movement as in strong acetate 'wobbly' for the Simon Says challenge 'Move it, move it' (great title for challenge), Cards For Men is Transport...i think a horsey can count as one, Stamp Something is Digi, OSAAT 'Happy Birthday', Pixie Dust Studio challenge is Fur/Feather, and The Secret Crafter is Anything Goes. Will definitely make some more, hope you get a chance to go to the Creative Cottage blog and see for yourself what amazing things are going on there!

Friday 17 September 2010

Hi all blogging friends, today I thought i'd make my card for the Penny Black challenge (nearly didn't get it made as things just kept coming up that needed priority) but it's here and at first I was a little stumped with the title, as apart from the Hugs set, there wasn't anyhting Penny Black for Men/Boys. Then I remembered the wonderfully talented Kath sent me a package some time ago with this cute snowman image (I presume it is PB). Then I've been wanting to try out this Diamond Fold card (hope it's the right title for it) and after a few trys out on scrap A4 paper I achieved it. The image has some holly berries stamped free from a mag and same with the sentiment tag, gold sequin for middle of snowflakes...hope you like it as much as I do...and the other challenges entered are Colour Create #53 Red, Gold and White, MAWTT Christmas, Everybody Art Card Folds, Sew Many challenges #27 Embossing and Stampin For The weekend #47 Tag it. Have a great weekend all!

Thursday 16 September 2010

For my dearest friend. As the front of the card suggests, I thought this cute digi image from Faith is perfect as it reminds me of the olden days in the summer stringing up the daisies from the garden, these daisies are the modern ones that come in all beautiful colours. Everything here is digi, papers are from Nikky's Polka Doodles CD Back to Nature Shake a tail Feather...'friend' is a stamp from Crafters Companion Girls set...

...the inside, there is a digi floral wreath and a lovely round sentiment from the talented Paulette, but with a little bit of messing around on the computer managed to overlay the two together, i think it goes, just about. So, i've used the fab recipe sketch from Polka Doodles #36 'No fabric ribbon, flap to be shaped and 3 brads to be used', Lexi's Creations Flower Power, ABC D for Distressing, Crafty Sentiments Blue, Grey and yellow (not much grey), Just Cute Bears #34 is Picture Inspiration (I went with the peacock feathers) and ofcourse Faith's super challenge Designed 2 Delight Digital Stamps. Have a good day all!

Wednesday 15 September 2010

A post a day so far. Yes I've been posting every day and today it is Lazy Afternoons from the LOTV, for their own challenge and what a fine stamp this is for a guy, really kept it simple using the fab sketch from Friday Sketchers # 119 rotated once clockwise, so Sir Stampalot would like to see All Distressed (hope it'd distressed enough), A Spoonfull of Sugar is Autumn as is Creative Card Crew. Thanks to all who visit me regularly, would love it if you'd leave a tiny comment so I can repay a visit too!

Tuesday 14 September 2010

Morning all! Today I've got this lovely Santa from Sarah Kay to show you for my fave challenge Simon Says who are having a Stamp-ember blog hop...super idea and I'm just going to get this one in quick. With so many challenges out in blogland I'm having a tough time getting my entries in, lots of cards are made, supporting blogs who set craft challenges and bettering myself into the Craft World. Hope that made sense!!! So Simon Says 'Holiday Fun' and i went with Christmas, ABC Christmas is Santa (optional not red), Bah Humbug is Fave Medium... mine is digi d/loads at the mo and these papers are from Crafts Beautiful Party d/loads, and trying the distressing with inks, Crafty Emmas Store challenge is an Easel Christmas card, followed The Secret Crafter #100 sketch with a ticket sentiment from the lovely Caz and Christmas Stampin All Year Long #63 is Brads / Eyelets. Hope your day is going good, until next post bye!

Monday 13 September 2010

Good evening. Oh my word, this must be my quickest challenge card of all time, everything's a digi, papers from Shabby Princess free d/loads, freebie image and sentiment from the very generous Paulette and for her own challenge Create with TLC, how could I resist this fab one? Paulette gives away some fabby images on the blog and very sentimental texts, if you've not been, really a visit is worth it! Card is an off cut once again, a scrappling...just added some string with a dangly heart charm and quick finish!!! So my challenges
as the colours seem to be very Autumny are the Allsorts as is Incy Wincy. Happy Crafting all!

Saturday 11 September 2010

Good afternoon all! I made this card with good intentions to enter the Squiggle Stamps challenge 'Anything Goes', I was very sure this cute digi bear was a freebie from them at one time and now i can't find it on their blog, never mind I'll just enter and if it's not qualifying, it'll get deleted. The sentiment 'a hug fur you' is free from Create with TLC, Paulettes fab blog, die cut it in the cuttlebug, papers are all Shabby Princess d/loads, stamped the top sentiment (from QVC) on the top. Hope there's enough dots and stripes for the Stamp Something, Just Cute Bears is Dotty as is Totally Papercrafts #33, Cute Card Thursday #129 Play on Words, Incy Wincy #58 Celebrate,Papertake Weekly sketch and Cards For Men Long Summer Days. Hope evreyone is well and having a good weekend!

Thursday 9 September 2010

Hello all! Today I've an Autumny sort of creation even though i don't want to wave goodbye to the Summer. Leaves are starting to fall off the trees and rustling into garden corners and this fine digi Oak Wreath from Faith at Designed 2 Delight Digital stamps is just perfect. I've enlarged it to make it into a shaped card, placed some freebie d/load paper from Shabby Princess Vintage set on the backing, stamped corners, swirls and sentiment with Walnut Stain Distress ink, added gold card candy and punched out purple butterflies. The Penny Black hedgie is from the Hugs set and comes with him holding a bunch of flowers but I swapped this with my own hand drawn single oak leaf and popped onto foam squares. Challenges entered are the Penny Black at Allsorts Punch Away, Penny Black #117 purple, cream & brown, Polka Doodle Shaped card as is Dare U 2 Digi stamp, Bunny Zoes Crafts #3 Vintage as is Stampin for the weekend #46, Fab n Funky is 'Whateva', Charisma cardz is Try something new (mine is the cut out frame wreath), and Crafty Sentiments #34 Use a Digi. I make that ten in total and could have entered so many more if I found more hours to spend in blogland...bye for now all!

Saturday 4 September 2010

I do like simple. This Forever Friends stamp i bought a few years back has saved me alot of time, made wonderful cards and ideal for every occassion, perfect for tiny cards as this one is a scrappling. Stamped onto it first, run it throught the Cuttlebug with my embossing folder and attached my watercoloured topper bear, balloon has been 3D'd, faux stitching with fine liner pen and silver pearls placed. Challenges entered are Just Cute Bears 'Embossing', The Secret Crafter #99 Clean & Simple, The Crafty Pad 'Simple Pearls', Moving Along with the Times #62 In Stitches and Crafty Creations #83 'White plus 1 other colour' ( not including the bear colour I went with the blue balloon) hope it will do, until next time, bye!
