Hello blogging friends. I've made time today to make a 50th birthday/anniversary card. I like these simple type of card normally fairly quick to make but it seemed forever that I should get it finished. LOTV image' thomas with champagne', lightly coloured with my Promarkers, glamour dusted the champagne bubbles and on the present, written hand sentiment on tag, lots of embossing, white lace, rhinestones and silver pearls from Meiflower, sentiment at top from the lovely Wendy at Digital Doodling, made my own 50 in silver mirri card, flowers and leaves from Marianne Creatables.

I'd like to enter in 10 challenges..firstly Lil's Little Fairies 'white with a hint', The Pretty Little ribbon 'lace and pearls', Stamptacular Sunday 'bling', Party Time Tuesdays 'anything goes' as is Simon Says, Creative Inspirations 'bingo- flowers, glitter, stamp', Fab n Funky 'flowers', Cute card Thursday 'numbers and letters', Papertake weekly 'sketch 72' and Stampin for the weekend 'floral'..sorry they're not in colour. Tuesday, 11 September 2012

Hi to all! What a blustery day it's been but we have the wonderful sunshine to top it up. I've been wanting to do a number card for a while..it's a full A4 folded in half, with plenty of embossing with the cuttlebug, numbers are new d/load printout but I can't remember where they were from as I've forgotten to name the folder (could be from cardmaking download site), font from the computer, as ever the brilliant old Forever Friends with cake stamp coloured with my Promarkers, I've used this one several times since buying it, just adorable bears, lace at the bottom, sheer ribbon from Meiflower at the top and some bunting cut out from scraps of Donna's freebie d/load. Love this one so much, it's going to be hard giving it away!

Challenges entered are 10..Forever Friends 'embossing', Poodles Parlour 'here come the girls', I Love Promarkers 'bunting', DYSU 'birthdays', Papertake weekly 'things that make you go awwww', My Mums Craft Shop 'anything goes' as is Stamp and Create, Charisma 'doubles..2 numbers and 2 wording bits', Simon Says 'put a stamp on it' and Dream Valley 'something old, something new'..old- FF stamp, new- number printout. Well that's it for today, keep well everyone and enjoy the crafting!

Wednesday, 5 September 2012

Hi and a little card (well not so little) to show you with not much on it as it's for 5 challenges some of them asking for precisely that. Hope that all the crafty bloggers are well and enjoying the bit of good weather we've had today in the uk! It's so warm that a good potter round the garden was called for but I didn't see many of these beautiful creatures about...it's such a shame that this year I've only seen a minimal amount, looking onward to what next year will bring I think. Sentiment stamp from Daisy & Dandelion set was stamped first, cut out the wonderful butterfly from Nikky's cd d/load (can't remember which one it was, it was printed afair few months ago), laid the small one onto the larger one, then applied some Glamour Dust trailing behind it, it didn't quite look right(empty) so I added the flowery border but couldn't on the left side as there wasn't enough room so i thought I'd use the American Crafts dotty border to finish that side. Hope it doesn't look too odd but i got it finished in the end. Stamped with walnut Stain distress ink, flowers coloured with Pink Promarker. Challenges entered are Simply Less is Moore 'brown & pink', Charisma 'no embellishments', Flutterby Wednesdays 'birthday' and don't forget the butterfly or fairy, Papertake Weekly 'anything goes' and Joanna Sheen 'going dotty'. Many thanks for coming over, enjoy the rest of today!

Monday, 3 September 2012

Happy Monday! Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to the week ahead...suppose to be a good sunny week. My card is using some old See D's stamps, coloured with Promarkers, sentiment is part of a Hero Arts stamp..just masked off the rest of the wording. I've  also layered up the middle flower and there's Glamour Dust all round. Honeycomb paper is a Pink Petticoat d/load, I thought this would encourage all the bees to come out ;)..added some faux sticthing to finish.

So my sunshiney card is for 10 challenges...ABC 'w for wishes', CCT 'stitch in time', My Mums Craft shop 'all the 3's..3 flowers, stems and leaves', I Love Promarkers 'anything goes' as are Simon Says, Party Time Tuesdays with a blog hop for the lovely Jen who's battling with cancer at the moment, Natalie and Amy new and very 1st challenge, Bearly Mine 'anything that glitters', Papertake Weekly 'chosen sketch 64', Creative Inspirations 'Bingo..chosen ribbon, flowers, glitter'. I'm pleased to be looking in on my fave challenges and they're all fantastic for getting back into blogging, have a brilliant day all!

Monday, 27 August 2012

Hello crafty bloggers, it's been a long time now since I created a card, I've been thinking about all the fun I used to have here. Lifes happenings get in the way and due to a bereavement in my family it set me back a little, hopefully things are settled down a bit so I can send some love to needy children. I'm really hoping I've not forgotten too much, how to link things and that my brain cells are ready for some imaginative creativity! So i thought the lovely Krista's 'Ava' would be a good start..a freebie and as always a joy to colour in with my Promarkers, paper is a d/load from Cardmaking downloads website freebie from Clipart Fairy I believe (hope that's right), tried a different thing with the beautiful Mei flower ribbon, gathered it up by pulling the top thread after machine stitching on a larger stitch, sentiment is a digi from Polka Doodle cd, stamped text is from Cuddly Buddly. Bling is from stash.

This one will be sent over the pond  along with some others that I'm hoping to make as a donation for Krista's 'Give Big' charity for a Childrens Research Hospital. Incidently this card fits quite a few challenges.. Saturated Canary (pic inspiration), Cute Card Thursday (bling it up) as is The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop, followed sketch from Sketch Saturday, Crazy (anything goes) Stamp and Create (stitch it up), J and C Creations (new challenge blog with 'something a little bit different..ribbon). Wishing you all a great evening and hope I've not missed too much in blogland.

Thursday, 3 May 2012

Just a wonderful image, coloured with Promarkers, top sentiment from Paper Pretties pirate set, bottom one from Personal Impressions stamp set, the lovely d/load paper is from Michelle Coleman freebie. Ribbon is lush with white dots from Meiflower, yellow button from Fantastic Ribbons. Bit of Glamout Dust added to the dress and grass and finished with 3 sequins on flowers.

Morning all to a dreary wet day, I've started my cardmaking with a nice simple card, only a mini one with some scraps of Pink Petticoat paper, CC Designs flower dies and a little stamped sentiment from American Crafts, rhinestone to finish. Monday, 30 April 2012

Morning to a very warm sunny start to the week, wow, what a difference to yesterdays weather... rain, rain and rain non-stop. I think you can guess this is not a card in the pic but a full adult size jumper for my daughter (longer in the sleeve as that's how they like them now adays, I've been told). Am I glad this is finished, it was a promise i kept since November last year and she loves it and is safely tucked away in her winter draw for later this year. It's so snug annd warm made from a Wendy pattern 5616 Merino Chunky and is very textured indeed. The rib is a twisted rib and the base pattern is really quick with only a 2 row pattern. Hope you like this as much as I like the finished product! Hoping to return to my fave challenges and get some cards made before I start on my next knitting project for my hubby.

Thursday, 26 April 2012

They've flown the nest...not my children but the family of Robins that were residing in my hubbys (not finished shed), this is the continuation after we discovered we had some feathered friends residing with us in an outbuilding (shed). This is a first for me (with animals) as is trying to work the new interface on Blogger, have I really forgotten how it works or have they made it more complicated..well we'll see how this goes. All the pics have been taken only 2-3 days apart and it's amazing how all this has happened..from 5 little eggs to 4 pairs of eyes, it looks like the 5th didn't make it.

This was taken Tuesday...

...and this is what greeted me today..I'll leave it to you to work out where the 4 of them were before they flew off.

I was petrified to see those long nails that my hubby didn't get to tidy off but will hopefully do now that they've fled. However, I may just persuade him to leave a small enough vent for them to come back if they choose to. What a tender moment the last few weeks have been..just to see if they would make it out of that carrier bag, I'm so pleased they made it but sad to see them go. Hoping we will have the pleasure of another lot..just maybe? Many thanks for visiting, sorry there's no card but I'd love to know what you think.

Monday, 23 April 2012

Happy beginning of the week! Wow, Monday here again, and i thought I'd show you my card using the Buzzy Bees d/load from Pink Petticoat. Liz is so generous that i bought this when there was an offer on with when you buy the images you get all the Honeycomb colourways for free! Lovely Jubbly!!! Before i get on to my details just like to say the Robin family are doing well, definitely getting bigger by the day, collection of pics will be up soon. Sooo my card has very minimal colouring with a yellow Promarker on the bee, glamour dust added to the wing, spare piece of black thin ribbon, some yellow scrap card hand cut circle, some die cut wording using my Baby Face dies from Cuttlebug. Oh yes a Martha Stewart fence punch.

Challenges are only a few (for a change..;)..Dieing For a challenge 'sketch', Paper Shelter 'wings & things' and Sir Stampalot is celebrating their 2nd birthday..Yippeeee!!!! Bye for now.

Thursday, 19 April 2012

Morning all! It seems a longtime since I posted again and I do miss it and want to continue updating every now and then. Hope everyone is doing well, my Robin family in the shed is doing well, eggs have hatched and can definitely see some yellow beaks amongst all the fur balls. Taking pics as i go along their process and will post them together in a post soon. Today my card is ofcourse primarily for the LIM challenge..that's why there's not much to see, looks bare but so simple to make. Image is a stamp from Pink Gem (comes with a no. 7 but I masked it off for a change), w/coloured for a change, faux stitching with a black pen, sentiment from a mag freebie. Challenges entered are LIM 'one layer & doodling', Secret Crafter 'man's card' as is Everybody Art, Papertake 'stitching' and Cards For Men 'spring colours'. Have a fab day and thankyou for taking the time to visit.

Sunday, 15 April 2012

Hello to all on a chilly Sunday, lots of sunshine to brighten the day and I've some yellow on my card too! Hope that craftland is still crafting ...me? I'm on a quest to finish some knitting I'd started, that's why my creations have somewhat dwindled lately. I've been on the mini hop at LOTV and it reminded me of the several unused stamps I've got (I'm ashamed as I do love them very much). Here I've got 'little dot' from LOTV, comes complete with that sentiment, stamped 3 times so that I could spend time decoupaging it, used Promarkers, embossed, cut off 2 rough corners with my deco scissors, ribbon and silver pearls from Meiflower, tiny buttons from stash, finished off with Glamour dust on wings.

Many challenges entered...Promarker 'white on white' as is I Love Promarkers, LOTV 'transport' as I understand it 'fairies' can be included, My Mums Craft Shop 'celebrate', Love To Create 'birthday', Sweet Stampin 'girly but no pink', Colour Create 'yellow, blue, white', Crafty Catz 'animals..can a butterfly be included?', Crafty Ribbons 'wings' as are Totally Papercrafts and Paperplay. Wednesday, 11 April 2012

As promised yesterday, this is what we discovered in my hubby's shed this Easter..new beginning for Easter. The nest is in an old paper bag hung on a hook only to one handle with lots of other bags inside it, what a lovely surprise and I've showed the pics to all my family too, they're Robin eggs and it comes through a triangular piece of space that my hubby didn't quite get round to finishing off, delight to see even the Robin sitting on them below and a closer shot too. We're able to wander in and out of the shed as it's behind the door where my hubby used to hang his jacket but not any more, I keep reminding him not to disturb them. I can't wait to see the eggs hatch and the little ones getting strong to fly out. Hope to come back with some pics in a couple of weeks on the update. Thanks for visiting, and I'd love you to leave a comment so I can visit you too! Bye for now.

Tuesday, 10 April 2012

Hi to everyone, hope Easter has gone well to all who celebrated, come back tomorrow to see what I discovered over the holidays!!! Today onto my little creation which will be given soon to a very clever boy in my family..and I expect this is what he's been doing in his holidays in the intermittent rain showers, and we've had many today. The image is a stamp from Motivet from a couple of years back called 'dexter in puddle', coloured with Promarkers, brown card from my grocers, paper d/load from Nikky's cd, lovely sentiment from Paulette 'thankyou', tiny bit of ribbon from scrap and great pearls from Meiflower, absolutely stunning products there (a must see). So sorry about the bluish background I suspect the setting has been changed on my camera, will have to look into it.

..on the backs used some wonderful free digi d/load from Paulette 'thankyou for your kindness', and yes that meaningful sentiment is from there too!!!

This will be handgiven to a little madam, I can't wait to see her little face, she is simply the cutest and i love her random thoughts.

So that will probably be next on here for you to see! Have a brilliant evening.

Monday, 26 March 2012

My first christmas card in spring. Hi everyone, Wow, the very nice weather has kept me away from crafting, super super sunshine although too much in abundance makes me ill. Nevertheless my card is to cool down and look forward to christmas before spring has even sprung. I won this cute 'Ollie with gingerbread' stamp from Janet over at Pink Gems, Andy was gorgeous too but I needed something with a mouth and Janet said very kindly I could swap 'many thanks Janet'. Coloured with Promarkers, cut out, added the same stars he comes with on tiny foam pieces, yummy ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, paper is from Nikky's Creative Christmas paper boutique cd..gorgeous papers on there, buttons from Fantastic Ribbons, die cut round label from Baby Face dies and peel off sentiment from QVC long time ago and finished with remnant of red ribbon.
As this image is used for a christmas card the challenges entered are quite festive but I'm, sure Ollie can be used for an ordinary everyday card. Challenges entered are 10...Pink Gem Challenge 'sketch', Craft Your days 'men/boys & buttons', Sweet Stampin 'anything goes' as are Stampin for the weekend, Christmas Stampin. DYSU 'plaid', Crimbo Crackers 'cute', Winter Wonderland is a pic, Sparkles Forum Christmas 'peel-offs' and PaperPlaytime 'for the guys, add a sentiment'.
