I love my Martha Stewart doily lace punch from Dies to Die for. It's the best purchase I've made by far as I can see myself using this for a long time. This creation, is for a new challenge blog, Funky Fairys Challenge blog which has been set up by Ria ( a really fantastically talented lady), what can I say, you just have to visit her for yourself to find out. You can make any thing as long as you have something on it from Funky Fairy. So as you are allowed to use their own free downloads that is what I've gone with. The flowery backing is from the lovely Doodlementals range and prints so perfectly on Tesco's Finest premium quality 120 gsm, that is what I've started to use now. The purple is from their downloads as well, as you can see layering with white to separate from the backing. Image is Lily and Milo 'for you' from Rachelle Anne Miller, w/coloured with Koi's, silver glue gel added, sequins to some and also on the side, sentiment is from Studio G, I've just cut the heart shape freehand! Bit of doodling to finish. This creation can also go for Sally's challenge over at Bootiful Stampz. Sally would like you to make something using the colours 'pink, blue, purple and white', so I think it fits!
Also don't forget you can win an 'Ecclectic Lurve Kit' from Funky Fairy Inspirations (see link above) and thanks so much for looking!

This creation is for Sketch Saturday and Spoonfull of Sugar ' love is in the air' So this cutey image is 'Denny in love' by
Pink Gem Designs, and yes I did have quite a big spend while I was over there as I wanted them all and they're all worth it so all is well in the end. So the backing paper which I've machine stitched came as scrapbook papers from QVC but i don't scrap so use them for cards, strip at the bottom is from the same kit different paper, I've used Debbie Moore's 'fireworks' punch to create that, so many possibilities with this as you can create ovals, circles, squares, borders etc., red ink used for edging .There's some fibres from a previous candy on there. Denny is w/coloured in Koi's, glam dust added, layered onto silver mirri board, hearts stamped again and lifted to create 3D lift, bit of doodling with metallic gel pen, sentiment stamp from See D's range and heart buttons from stash. Finished , I think. Thanks for looking and I would love to read any comments you leave, much appreciated. Have a lovely jubbly day!

Edited to add: Entry for Cute Card Thursday 45 'valentines'.
Thankyou

Hi all! Just wanted to share this cute and gorgeous creation Nicole has very ,very kindly sent me along with some High Hopes stamps. WOW, when I received it at the weekend, I was pleasantly surprised as I didn't win her candy but so kind-hearted this talented lady is that some ladies were chosen to receive some goodies. There was a very nice message inside too, so thank you so much!!! Nicole is a guest DT member for High Hopes and I'm not surprised, you need to go and see her wonderful work! Back in a bit .

Beautiful sunny Monday it is today! This creation is for Friday Sketchers following a sketch by Beatrix. This was so much fun to do once I got it in my mind what paper I wanted to use :) they're all free downloads which I adore! Unlike paper pads when you only have 1 or 2 of the same, these downloads you can print off as and when you need them. Lovely jubbly!!! The base card is an A4 cut in half lengthways, the stripes are from Shabby Princess Promise and the other flowery one is from Summer time Designs Energy. I raided my kids stash box for a perfect red strip to go through the MS doily lace punch to place underneath the stripey paper which is edged with red inkpad, image is from Pink Gem Designs 'denny dragon', he's so sweet and tending to the pretty flowers, w/coloured with Koi's and I've tried to do an outline in pale blue (i've seen that done on others too but not sure if it's worked), glam dust added, handcut scallop using scissors and the same for gold mirrri scallop and off-set them for a different look, gold cord from stash threaded through the tail part, tied to an epoxy square button from Juliets candy to represent a buckle as I didn't have one in my stash and tied in one loop bow as one end was not long enough to do two loops, flowers from Jeanettes candy, i've added some flat gems from Josey Rose Boutique to finish. Hope you like and thanks for looking and have a great day!

One card, three challenges. Spoonfull of Sugar challenge 35 is 'oh baby', Papertake Weekly is 'use 3 shapes', and ABC challenge is 'X is for ... x somewhere on your card'. The pale green backing is DCWV paper, the top/bottom borders are done on the Kaboodles Doodles pink range downloads with the Debbi Moore 'fireworks punch' (more spending on my part), handcut round shape on to another handcut scallop shape of silver mirri board, image is so baby cute from Magnolia it's 'sitting Tingla' paper pieced, I absolutely love using her and will never get tired of her, soother is glazed with anita's 3D Gloss Finish, w/coloured with Kois, copic skin colour for face and hands, wings are sprinkled with pink micro fine glitter from Juliet's candy last year and the pink braid is from there too, tiny buttons from Create & Craft, rectangle shape sentiment done on computer with Curlz font and accented with faux glitter pen stitching with X's in all corners. Finish I think?

Hope you like, thanks for looking.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge week 32 ' lets get dotty' and I've drawn inspiration from Kath. So much to see from the DT members, all so wonderful. I 've used this PB image which was sent to me some time ago, w/coloured with Koi's and glam dust added, layered onto black card, accented with white sakura gel pen, slim strip of silver miirri board running across, onto some black and white dotty wrapping up paper which I've had a long time, this has been punched with my new toy Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch which i bought from Dies to Dies For at a reasonable price along with some other goodies and it was a super fast service! The sentiment is from See D's range, matted and white accenting around. Hope you like and thanks for looking, it is appreciated.
AWARDS

I'm back after a few birthday treats and I've been spoilt with creative stuff! But something I have been wanting to do for a long time is to pass this colourful award which I received from the talented Jeanette a liitle while back but I'm so ashamed not to have passed it on earlier :( better late than never as they say. So here it goes... this one I'd like to go to these wonderful ladies whose Kreative work is without a doubt some of the best I've ever seen, these ladies display some uniqueness (hope that is a proper word) about them in their own way :)) No particular order

Rach, Claudia, Maria, Juliet, Elina & Camilla

...and the other one i received just last week from the lovely Bev whose creations are a must for me to see too! Another super talented lady, I think I'd have to sell my house to be on their level as I wouldn't be happy to just want a couple of creative things ...I would want them all! So, I would like to give this award to all of you reading this and it has been a true honour to be given these awards and i thank these magnificently talented ladies for thinking of me. Thank You!

Papertake weekly, Dawny's sketch #6 and this is my take on it. My card base is 5x7 inch so onto the base is DCWV brown cardstock edged with my new Fiskars scissors from QVC, then two long pieces from Kaboodle Doodles paper pink range, Sarah Kay 'joy of giving' stamp is w/coloured with Koi's, layered onto silver mirri board and as usual it has turned out black on the scanned image, silver glitter glue added on the presents, sequin on one, the two corners are the left over edges from the scissors, lifted with foam pads to give dimension, sentiment is a stamp from ages a go (funstamps) again layered onto mirri and lifted, white and silver gel pen for accenting and for a change I've tried pricking in the corners. No ribbons or flowers on this one. Hope you like and thanks for visitng, have a great weekend!
Thankyou's

Towards the end of last year I was very lucky to win Jessica's blog candy, a pirate set of stamps from SNSS. A stamp company in USA owned by Korin Sutherland. These images stamp so precisely and clear so that you can see the positioning. What a wonderful lady Korin is, she has a beautiful little niece called Janessa who is battling against Leukemia. Such an illness to endure at such a young age, my heart goes out to their family. Korin keeps updates to how little Janessa is doing with her treatments and even has a cute set of stamps out to spread the word about Janessa. I send my blessings and prayers to the family.

Thank you Jenny, I won partial candy with another lady. Some lovely goodies in there, can't wait to use them.

This one is going for Friday Sketchers challenge and is quite a small slim card and surprised myself by getting everything on it. Mint green paper is from stash, stripey is from Forever Friends 'with love' paper pad, the image is 'maggie with patch' from Bootiful Stampz run by Sally. She's been w/coloured with my Koi's and skin copic used on the flesh parts,2 panels are layered and mounted onto foam pads and 2 bits of cotton string/twill threaded through them, yellow flower die cuts are from the 'Harlequin' cuttlebug die and 3 green sequins stuck on the sentiment is from See D's says 'animal lover' but the camera hasn't picked it up. Bits of glam dust added for bling and patch does come with a lead so he can't go far from Maggie but as I wanted to show the string underneath i decided to detach him and let him stay by her like a good doggie! Hope you like and thanks for looking, it's much appreciated.

A little gift i made over the christmas holidays just to say thank you to my mum for having a games and quiz night at her place. It was so enjoyable to see all her children and grand children in one place in a tiny house. So this creation (so sorry about pic,on the night I had to wrap it up quickly and tried so many places to light it up a little, so I took a pic on my light box, not the done thing I hear people say!). It's been a long time since I entered for this one. The challenge over at
Magnolia meets Stampavie is 'give a little'. I have lots of CD cases and I saw these CD Calender's done on a few blogs last year and thought I'd have a go. Papers are free downloads, can't remember which ones and yellow is from stash, Sarah kay image is lightly watercoloured with pencils, accented with gel pens and a bought 2009 calendar by my daughter from town. It looked so much nicer in real life, any way thanks for looking and have a nice day!

Another square card and for A Spoonfull of Sugar challenge 33 which is a sketch by Nikki (bunny-zoes). The pink backing is from stash, the lilac/mauve is from Vintage HOTP 8 x8 papers machine stitched ( I love my machine so much you'd think I was talking about a livng thing), the image is from Claudia's candy ,sarah kay 'joy of giving'. I love this one as it could be used for so many different types of cards, birthday, thank you's, christmas. I've w/coloured with my new Koi's. I think I'm getting the hang of them, still there's always room for improvement. Glam dust to hide the xmas prese's and layering and matting. My own crotcheted pink flowers with brads from a QVC kit, text is sticker which is matted, some embroidery thread circled round and small silver gem 'made with love ' attached to give a little movement. Hope you like and thanks so much for looking, it's much appreciated!

Also don't forget about Bev's scrummy yummy candy!

Wishing Tree full of Love

Another creation today that I keep meaning to put up here is Lily the Fairy from the contest at Pink Cat Studio
Where possible I try to stamp out a duplicate of the image I'm working on just in case it goes wrong, in this case I printed out this cute little fairy twice and since I've already put my first creation in for the contest I thought it would be a shame to waste it and w/coloured her with my new Koi's which I still need a lot of practice on, I've even given a pale blue outline all around her and cut her out lifted with foam pads. The paper is from Kaboodle Doodles and from the blue range, the Wishing Tree stamp is from Pink Poison which is now Greeting Card Farm and hearts come in this set which I've lifted, so does the sentiment. I've used machine stitching on this too! Ribbons from stash! Doesn't Lily look like she's spreading alot of love around that tree? That's all for now, Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

This creation is for 3 challenges, can you believe. Firstly ABC challenge which is 'v for violet', Papertake Weekly which is 'spots' and lastly Cute card Thursday which is 'use anything new that you had for christmas'.
At the moment I've been making several 5 inch square cards but out of A4 size card stock I have a sliver of about 3 inches left over so I came up with this. Once you fold this section in half it makes a small DL size base roughly of 3 inch x 5.7 inch.
The violet papers are from the HOTP Vintage 8 x 8 papers and they also have spots and my newest present is my new computerised sewing machine which I have to confess was opened before xmas and had to have a go with it so there are some cards before this post with machine stitching on them, I'm hoping it still counts towards the challenge. I still have my family paying for it as it cost so much! I've aligned everything to the right, violet ribbon is from stash, crotchet flower I've made and added a flat gem to it, a forever friends bear image perfect for this size card, w/coloured with pencils, balloon with copics violet V09, glam dust added and flat gem in corner, sentiment 'for you' from cheap Tesco's stamp aligned to the left and rounded off with decor scissors. Hope you like this new type of card, and thanks for looking.

A simple card to share, everything stamped on here is from QVC, See D's Kits range and the text stamp is a foam stamp from there too.Fish and rod are heat embossed for texture, green panel on front with mock envelope is added after and raised with foam pads, some basic chalking, and a line of green thread I pinched off my husbands business, threaded through a couple of buttons from stash for texture. This was the best I came up with as I don't have any male humorous stamps but will be on my list when I next get the chance to buy. Now I have to find out where to send it, hopefully Tina's grandad will get it in time. Hope you like :)
Hi all, I found a lady who does beautiful colouring and her first video is just fabulous. Christine has beautiful creations on her blog and I just couldn't stop looking at the way the colouring was achieved. I watched it but will have to go regularly to pick up some hints as I've not had much joy in settling to a favourite colouring medium, well maybe I haven't experimented enough so that will be another aim this year, to improve in this field and also to use up ALL the stash I've bought and stashed away for year or two.

Another lady Ellen who has tips for colouring has tutorials so I'll go there for tips too. You have to go the classroom on the left side bar.

And also lastly I keep meaning to say this when I do a new post but keep forgetting to. THANKYOU for following me! I noticed before christmas I had 3 followers, but I don't know how they became to follow me as I've not got a followers list on my blog. I'm just glad there is someone out there who visits me or likes my blog for whatever reason it may be. :))

OOh Tina from High Hopes stamps is requesting for cards to be sent to her grandad who is turning 88 and is a widower, he enjoys fishing so I have a card in mind. Ila one of my favourite blogs i visit has a bit about it. See you in a while.

Contest Card

While I was blog hopping and over at one of my many favourite blogs bunny-zoes I found this contest which is going on at Pink Cat Studio, a stamp company that would like you to use this image of Lily the Fairy on your creation (isn't she just sweet ready to make your wishes come true) . So after a bit of dithering around in my head I thought I would give it a go since my starting point was provided for free. I love it when that happens it makes it so much easier. But you can only use this image for this contest!
So I got to work as promised using stash I've been hoarding after I spent so much money on them. This is a 5 inch square card again with a good weight in a gatefold that I did myself, with cut down panels of 12 x 12 paper from QVC which are intended for scrapbooking, faux zig-zag with my waterproof liner pen, Lily is watercoloured with my new Koi 's and glam dust, layered on some silver mirri board, and the ribbon is from own stash....

... and the inside, I've followed it through with same back paper and faux stitching, as I've got so much of this paper in the kit and they are big, fairy castle stamp is from Crafter's Companion which I bought with a winning voucher from Crafts Beautiful magazine. Beautiful isn't it? A castle fit for a beautiful princess!!! The hearts come with the stamps and so much more. they are also w/coloured and dust added, the sentiment is from See D's range layered on some mirri board and lifted with foam pads as are the hearts.

...the back with this bright pink ribbon!
Hope you like, now I must not forget to email it to Melissa after all this effort. Have a brilliant day!
It's still very cold. But there's candy about to look forward to...

Lim has a brilliant candy, 1boy Hanglar stamp, 100 images, 3 rolls of ribbons, prima flowers and some buttons. There are 2 candies she is giving away and while you're there, don't forget to leave a comment or two, talented and very inspirational lady!

Sketch Saturday # 32

I found Sketch Saturday challenge blog just before christmas, and I shall try to take part in a few of their challenges. The standard is very high in all challenges and I don't think I've a chance anywhere near, but here it goes...Base is 5 inch square, stripey backing paper is from DCWV not sure what range, corners done using compass cutter on stash bits of paper, the blue has a faint brown chalking of Grunge scroll 019 stamp from www.stempelglede.com, accented with white Sakura gel pen, the image is stamped in Stazon, watercoloured with my new christmas present Koi watercolours and I'm delighted to say with a bit more practice these may be the right medium for me as the Copics are the bright pack of 12 I have and not really getting on with them very well and so expensive to buy!

So that is on to some brown paper, accented, then onto gold mirri board, glamour dust added, flowers punched out of the same green as the corners, doubled and co-ordinating brad added from old QVC kit. Finished! hope you like :) and have a nice day!

Good Morning Tuesday
It's ccccold where I am, we had snow flurries on sunday night which have left a slight covering on the ground and the frost has made it slippy. Not going anywhere in a hurry! I hope everyone is gently easing themselves into 2009.
On to some candy in my candy box we have today...

Michelle is having a big Valentine giveaway which also includes celebrations for her hubby's birthday too. What a treat! This lady I found by mistake through another blogger and ever since I've been drawn to not only her fabulous talent in cardmaking but her love for her miniature donkeys that she raises alongside her hubby. I admire her work so much I wish I could go there and see for myself. :) In the candy there is some Alota stamps, 4,rolls of ribbon, lots of flowers, DCWV sweets stack. The last bit sounds fattening but it isn't, so you need to get yourelf over there.
On the other hand there is another very talented lady I came across Rach who has a New Year candy, if you havn't discovered her already you're missing out, brilliantly created pieces of art, and a very popular lady in the blogging world.
OOh nearly forgot
Pink Cat Studio are having a contest, I might just give it a go! Back in a bit.

New Year Hugs

New Year wishes to one and all! As we brought in the new year i thought this card was a bit appropriate to cherish these moments that we live for each and every day. I have only been blogging for six months and in that time have come across so much creative work and joy that bloggers display and on the other hand blogging families suffering so much sorrow that their new year is not so happy as mine and I spare a thought for those who have been hit by tragedy.
On to a much lighter note now I have got that out. This creation was so much fun to do based on the wonderful Claudia's sketch and if you don't know, visit this brilliant lady's blog and I promise you will not be disappointed. How these creations are thought through, I don't know but they are truly amazing and very talented. Onto my card...
On a 5 inch square base I've used paper that I bought off QVC as scrapbook pages but not used them until now, gold mirri board rounded off with my new christmas present, set of 4 Fiskars scissors with different decorative edges, the corners which I rounded off have been used in the 2 corners of the card so no waste, then another layer of the pretty paper, then some DCWV cardstock edged with scissors and faux stitched in black, Sarah Kay Sweet Lili image gently watercoloured and glamour dust added, lifted with foam pads, sentiment by Funstamps picked up for a pound in town, and a pretty paper flower with pink brad to finish! Hope you like :) and enjoy the rest of the first day of 2009!!!
