It's post two for today! Well I've not been able to take part in the Penny Black challenges recently mainly as there are so many challenges out in blogland i wander off to try them out...but PB is one of the faves and I've not forgotten about them. This week is Anything but a card, so i made myself a little gift bag I saw being demonstrated on Create& Craft TV channel, I think by Hayley West and what a fab and easy bag to make, not much cutting out at all and made from a single sheet of paper. I've had these large scrapbooking papers from QVC and this may be a solution as to how to use them up. PB Hugs stamped but without the shower of flowers (I simply masked them off with a bit of tape), used my new Fernkin punch, some paper roses sent from Katarina, handles from some stiff ribbon/braid from a pound store, finished with Glamour Dust on flowers. Other challenges entered are Allsorts #61 Summer Days, The Secret crafter Summer Holidays and Polka Doodles Stamp Away. Hope you like my little make, will be back in a couple of days, bye!

Meet 'Cluck', latest digi image from Faith at Designed 2 Delight Digital Stamps. Great image that I've popped it onto foam squares for their sister blog which is Double Delight 'Pop it up'. I went with an easel card for the YNS #21, and tall for Charisma Cardz #29 Anything but square, Digital Tuesday 'happy birthday', One stitch at a time Digi madness, Fab n Funky this week is Recycle (mine is the string off my hubby's new shirt tag). Some black Card Candy from QVC to finish!

Hi, a few days under the weather and hoping to get some crafting done now. Starting off with ABC Christmas challenge O for Ornaments with xtra of shine and gloss. I used Anta's 3D gloss on the circles but it doesn't seem to show up at all, Glamour Dust on the little angels wings, freebie image from Wendy at Digital Doodling, and as always it could go for a tag for a prese or as I've done to hang on the christmas tree, a little black lace and pink cord from stash to finish. This is my entry for Cute card Thursday Christmas as is Flutter by Wednesdays and Magical Crafts,Winter Wonderland Glittery Angels, Crafty Catz #41 Anything but a card and Papertake Weekly is Cutie Patootie. Bye until next post!

Thanks to Faith for this super Vino image. I've made a table name card (minus the name), i thought this image would be suited so well for an evening party, folded one of my hand cut scallops in half and simply added a rectangular piece to it, print paper is a scrap from another card. Designed 2 Delight and Double Delight challenges (sister blog) Emboss it are the two challenges I'll enter. A quick Thankyou to all those lovely people who follow/read my blog, my number counter has gone up so much, and i have 100 followers, so a big milestone for me, thankyou once again!

Wishing for a prince. That is what i've grown up to understand...that frogs turned into handsome Princes, well we all need to dream a little now and then, I loved using this digi image from Karens Doodles for their own challenge 'Keep it clean & simple' but to me it looks a bit fanciful with those pearls I included for the Totally Papercrafts #24 Swirls & Pearls (swirly paper is from such a long time ago from the freebie d/loads off a magazine website, but can't remember which one it was), Crafty Pad would like 'Yellow & Orange', Stamp Something challenge is a Recipe Something '1DP,1 Ribbon,1 image' and Lexis Creations is Real/Faux Stitching. I couldn't resist and stamped the'Wishes' sentiment along the bottom too. So that is a total of 5 challenges this little one is going for and before I do go just wanted to mention Emma's new store which has opened today, Congratulations and wishing all the best for your new venture Emma! Go and visit Emma's blog to see how you could win to spend in the new store, that's all for now until next time.

My second post for today. This is the freebie digi image from Faith at Design 2 Delight Digital Stamps...at first i was thinking of just using as a tag but then I turned that idea into a mini card, used my scallop scissors on some paper I'd had from a pound shop some years ago, it seemed to match the prese that Faith has drawn, highlighted with white Sakura pen on the letters, it's a lovely image not necessarily for a birthday but could be 'hello' or even a pick-me-up card. As it's shaped I'll enter for the Fab N Funky challenge too!

Happy Thursday all! Yesterday I received my win from Colour Create challenge, I chose the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Decorative Photo Corners from Michelles Scrap.com, so a big 'Thankyou' as I'm really loving them and can't wait to put some on wedding cards for this year! As you can see they're already on this creation...A Criss Cross card for the Just Magnolia #62 and Jeanette's super video explains all sooo clearly, made my own paper by stamping Anna Griffin clear stamps on a white sheet, scanning in and printing off onto blue card, the white template will be there to print off as I please now, I really must use my old stash as this is what I purchased from QVC when I started off crafting, anyway I hope you like Tilda by the sea as it fits The Secret Crafter #90 Water, YNS Flower Power, Simon Says Photo Inspiration, Flutter by Wednesday is back...Yippeee,Cute Card Thursday is School's out for Summer (well I think most kids will want to visit the beach) and lastly used the Papertake Weekly sketch. Wishing you all happy crafting!

Christmas in July! There's plenty of challenges out there in blogland getting ready for christmas and since it's been a while, i made this card using the fab sketch from Create 4 Fun #27, a Daisy & Dandelion stamp freebie from a mag and wanted to enter into Just Cute Bears challenge, after I'd made all the requirements for it I realised it's got patches on it, can't be a bear (maybe it's a doggie), i tried to look up to see what character it is on the DoCrafts site but couldn't find it. It's hat was decoupaged as well as his paws... Oh well nothing's lost and it'll go for the Winter Wonderland Punch it out (x cut snowflakes), Bah Humbug Less is more,Creative Card Crew is Die Cuts (strip running along middle is from Baby Face Cuttlebug Die, ABC Christmas N for Noel, Cards For Men Christmas, a couple of new challenges to me Fussy and Fancy challenge and www.flourishes.org/blog. Papers are freebies Milly Designs from Crafts Beautiful site.

I love this image i won from there, comes with the boy and girl holding the huge catch whilst he only has a small one...ticket is from Caz's blog and the base stopper sentiment is a stamp, doodled around with silver glitter pen, just wanted to enter Dare U2 Digi Stamp #41 Great Outdoors. That's all for now.

Good day all, hope that the weekend was a restful and enjoyable one for our American friends over the waters. Well here it is still very hot and an abundance of heat can get too much for me so crafting is a good way to stay indoors. Today I have this cute digi image from Nutcrafters and entering for their own #19 Summer as is The Creative Cottage# 17. No designer papers on this one instead I stamped using a small flower stamp and accented with pink glitter, the sketch is from Sketch and Stash #39 which is a circle card, used up some peach paper with some white off-cuts for the doily lace and new bunny image, The Crafty Pad #78 is Animal Fun, Incy Wincy is Punches(used the MS Doily Lace), One stitch ata aTime #20 is a Little ribbon, lace or a bow (I've got all 3) and the colour theme is from Colour Create #48 Baby pink,Peach and Black (xtra option to use lace, not sure if the punched lace effect counts). Now onto what I can make next, maybe one of those criss-cross cards, we'll see!

Edited to add: This card is for Bella.

Yummy cherries, just a bit fruity! I won a voucher from Simon Says at the Sew Many challenges blog some time ago so a big 'thankyou', I chose Spellbinders Impressabilities Limited Edition Cherries...ofcourse I needed the tan embossing mats which I have finally managed to purchase from Sir Stampalot (super fast delivery) and I was all set to go. While my paper was still in the stencil I chalked the colours in and love how they have come out so subtle, there's plenty of room for experimentation though as you can probably see the cut out ones...love it, papers are from The Creative Cottage, image from Pollycrafts and my entry for their own #50 Pinkalicious, Cute Card Thursday #119 Let's get fruity, and Incy Wincy #48 'things with wings'. Have a great Saturday all!

Friday, 2 July 2010

Hi there, it's the weekend! I'm celebrating with this PB image I was sent some time ago as a runner up prize, love it but not sure which ink it was stamped with as it smudges with every medium I use. So I used some very loud, bright summery off cuts from Dovecraft Wild Blossoms pad and made like a quilt effect for the Penny Black #107 Paper patch, and also for their very first monthly challenge over at Penny Black at Allsorts Burst of Summer Colour, Crafty Catz #39 Distressing (with Walnut Stain distress ink), Totally Papercrafts One for the Girls and Charisma #26 is Metal Mickey (used the gold scroll metal for accent), stamped sentiment came free with a Forever Friends stamp in a mag. Hope this one isn't too bright for viewing, have a good weekend all!

Good afternoon all! Wow, this weather is really looking like summer now, soooo hot...so no outdoors for me, just stopping in. It's that time of the week when I show off Faith's fab illustrations at Designed 2 Delight, perfect for new baby, birthday and general hello, the gingham was a freebie d/load from Papercraft Inspirations website, yellow from stash, silver button along the button is a Cuttlebug die cut Baby Face, threaded with some co-ordinating ribbon and waste used near stamped sentiment which is from one of my new spends at QVC Personnel Impressions set. This card qualifies for the Simon Says challenge Checks, Plaids and Ginhams, Just Cute Bears #23 this week is an Open Theme and used a sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp. It's Canada Day today, so wishing all you fab Canadians a wonderful time, enjoy!
