Morning to a very warm sunny start to the week, wow, what a difference to yesterdays weather... rain, rain and rain non-stop. I think you can guess this is not a card in the pic but a full adult size jumper for my daughter (longer in the sleeve as that's how they like them now adays, I've been told). Am I glad this is finished, it was a promise i kept since November last year and she loves it and is safely tucked away in her winter draw for later this year. It's so snug annd warm made from a Wendy pattern 5616 Merino Chunky and is very textured indeed. The rib is a twisted rib and the base pattern is really quick with only a 2 row pattern. Hope you like this as much as I like the finished product! Hoping to return to my fave challenges and get some cards made before I start on my next knitting project for my hubby.
Thanks for visiting, browse around and I hope you find some inspiration!

They've flown the nest...not my children but the family of Robins that were residing in my hubbys (not finished shed), this is the continuation after we discovered we had some feathered friends residing with us in an outbuilding (shed). This is a first for me (with animals) as is trying to work the new interface on Blogger, have I really forgotten how it works or have they made it more complicated..well we'll see how this goes. All the pics have been taken only 2-3 days apart and it's amazing how all this has happened..from 5 little eggs to 4 pairs of eyes, it looks like the 5th didn't make it.
This was taken Tuesday...
...and this is what greeted me today..I'll leave it to you to work out where the 4 of them were before they flew off.
I was petrified to see those long nails that my hubby didn't get to tidy off but will hopefully do now that they've fled. However, I may just persuade him to leave a small enough vent for them to come back if they choose to. What a tender moment the last few weeks have been..just to see if they would make it out of that carrier bag, I'm so pleased they made it but sad to see them go. Hoping we will have the pleasure of another lot..just maybe? Many thanks for visiting, sorry there's no card but I'd love to know what you think.

Hi to the blogging world, well I've not posted since Tuesday but I assure you ...been busy in the gardening section (at home), but I definitely thought this was apt for all the mothers who have a birthday tomorrow as well as being Mothering Sunday here in the UK. I hope as a mother that I have given our children love, hope, honesty, maturity, guidance, to prosper even when all else fails and to forgive those who have wronged. In return I only hope they will carry this through their own children for decades to come. Sorry, I'm feeling very sentimental and motherly today, but shall go onto my card using 'cake glorious cake' from LOTV, lovely to colour used Promarkers for the EK Success layering butterfly diecuts too, paper from Polka Doodles, luscious lilac ribbon and pearls from Meiflower, birthday sentiment stamp from old See d's.Tuesday, 13 March 2012
Hi to all! My creation is using an old Popcorn The Bear stamp from Crafters Companion, coloured with Promarkers, tag was empty but filled it with one of the tiny sentiments that come with it, again used my new EK Success butterfly layering punch (used all the 3 settings to achieve tha fab look). Gem and luscious ribbon from Meiflower.Monday, 12 March 2012
Happy first day of the week crafters! Wow, what a beautiful summery day yesterday that I didn't have a moment to post this, too good to stay indoors, so hubby was patching up the roof on the shed and me just admiring it from a distance ;))) Well, it's been a while since I entered Nutcrafters # and as I have their Pink Frosting stamp set I just had to use it, coloured with Promarkers as are the Phlox die cut flowers, dotty paper from Anice free d/load, you may notice the fence which is a Martha Stewart punch has 2 different fence pattern, I was experimenting with it by not totally placing it on the pattern grid and shifting to create a different kind of fence, i think I've attached the one I was experimenting with instead of the one which was perfect, alas there's my mistake. The gem and fab luscious ribbon from Meiflower, super card items there, a must see!Challenges entered are 10...Nutcrafters 'mum' as are Oldie but a goodie (old paper and stamp), One Stop Craft, Craft Your Days, Simon says 'special girl', Promarker 2nd, Cupcake craft 'dotty' as is Scrappy Frogs, Charisma 2nd and Papertake 3rd entry. I've another card to show from the weekend, but it'll wait till tomorrow, happy crafting all!

Welcome to all, I've made this small card from the back of a christmas card (pic below). I couldn't throw it away as it was clean white textured card of a good weight. Used these cute meeces from PB 'hugs' sheet with the sentiment, gave the daisy some spots, coloured with Promarkers. The top corner was a little crumpled so i gave it a fancy feature!
