Hope that everyone is looking forward to a restful weekend until my next post, bye.
Daring Cardmakers. This week it is 'Winter Birthdays' and as the winter olympics are currently showing I thought this Skating Girl image I bought from Bunny Zoes Crafts needed to be inked. It's from Scrapmagasinet and just so perfect for someone with that sporty interest. Debossed side of paper is used, my fiskars Sunburst Punch, some sparkly squares of ribbon and finished off with ribbon bows. This card was made days ago, forgot to take pic and I'm just getting it in the Daring Cardmakers challenge ever so slightly! Hope I make it. Another card for mum. Polka Doodle #7 has a beautiful sketch with the theme 'For the Birds', so I used the cute owl from the Back To Nature CD, brown copic used for head part and given some pink mascara on the eye lashes, paper from the Heritage section and the very beautful stacking flowers, still had to stamp somewhere so I used a Studio G mini stamp for the sentiment and a stamped border in green. Digital Tuesday #47 is 'A card for mum' and Cute Card Thursday #101 is 'Ribbon tastic', I've used some brown grosgrain, hope there's enough for the entry, so my card will be entered into for both. Thanks for visitng today, I'd love it if you could leave a quick comment so i can return a visit to see your creations!

Card for mum. Hi all, this is a fab image from Motivet and for their challenge, I'm quite pleased with how my card turned out, papers are from a candy some time ago but don't know their company, it must be well known as they are super yummy, anyway Hilda on the inner tube is blended with my Koh-i Noors and distressed everywhere with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain inkpad, some brown stitching, handmade flowers using stamps from Girls Crafters Companion, overdone with the Glamour Dust, Cuttlebug baby face die cutting, instead of throwing away the negative this time I've used it! Finished with some nice posh braiding deliberately left some ends coming off the card. The challenges this will be entered are Saturday Spotlight #19 'Doing the mess around',The Secret Crafter #71 Mothers Day, A Spoonfull of Sugar #92 'Distress Inks', Crafty Creations #56 'Cut it out, pop it up', and last but really love entering their challenges as they are so open and inviting... Tilly bauble tag. This is a fab digi image from Wendy at Digital Doodling that I turned into a christmas tag for the ABC Christmas challenge 'D for decoration' and as a bauble is normally a decoration on a tree, I thought this would go perfectly for a little girls present. Hope you like as it's my entry for Lexis Creations #8 'Anything goes'. On the back I stamped with one of my old QVC clear stamps to write who it's for. This was quick and easy to make, not really hard at all to make a batch. Added plenty of Glamour Dust, hope you can see it!
Designed 2 Delight. What a fab image this is from Faith, teapot with flowers reminds me of something I'd definitely have on my kitchen windowsill. It's teamed up with CRAFT #38 which is a sketch, Crafty Creations #55 is stitching as is this new challenge One Stitch at a time and it's their very first one, and last but not at all least Incy Wincy #31 is 'Touchy Feely'. Papers with berries are from Crafts Beautiful downloads, handcut shape, used Anita's Clear gloss Finish for the cherrries on pot and additional ones I created myself with brown piece of thread. Lace is leftover piece from another card where it was pleated. Sentiment from Popcorn the Bear kits. Thanks for visiting, would love it if you could leave a comment, bye until next time.

Polka Doodle #6 Hearts and Flowers. This is so apt for Mum on Mothering Sunday or simply a token to show appreciation to someone you love dearly. I've used The Back to Nature CD paper from Polka Doodle, how fab these are, love the peacock range on there that I decided to make a little gift box which could have had a little bracelet or earrings inside. The template i got from The Craft Stamper website and so easy to make, used acetate for the lid and placed a large flower made from hearts, Nikki demoed this on the Create and Craft channel the other week and I just happened to be watching that day. Fab idea, loved making this and the sentiment inside is from the CD too. This is to go with other presents for an upcoming birthday in my family, hope you like it. I would like to enter this in the Quixotic #14 'Something for mum', I'm sure I'll be making another one of these soon! Have a wonderful weekend.

Penny Black #88 'Happy Valentine'. Love this PB hedgy carrying a heart, not just for valentine, could be used for Mothers Day coming up next month, he's so cute and quite blushed! The sketch is from Sketch Saturday #90, stripey paper from Kaboodle Doodle All Star kit, sentiment paper is freebie download from one of the online magazine sites and goes really well I thought. It was printed out a couple of years ago, didn't know what to do with it but have found somewhere for it, gorgeous flowers and gemstone from the most talented Kath, this is also my entry for Simon Says challenge which is a recipe this week '3 types of embellishments, 2 patterned papers and 1 image', what a perfect match...Heather Flowersoft, flowers and gemstones are my chosen embellies. There is also a fab hop going on too and I'm heading my way there!
ABC challenge. This fortnight the theme is 'O for One paper' and I was very kindly invited to guest design by Vicky so a huge thanks! There definitely is one paper from Forever Friends 'with love' pad and the fab digi image from Teri at Delicous Doodles looks very shabby (it's my colouring) and the very pink heart looks very flouresecent but in real life it's lighter...so anyway this fits in with the Colour Create #38 they're a year old and celebrating 'Red, White, Chocolate and Pink, optional is Silver and Hearts', so I've got everything there, also Crafty Catz #19 ' Buttons and Bows' as is Totally Papercrafts on their third challenge. Hope you'll have a go at entering, back in a bit!

Well a true softie I can be that i just felt i had to make something...all for such a good cause. I've gone away from the typical pinks for this one, I used off cuts from The creative Cottage 'fairy wishes', gave this cutie owl a distressed look, sentiment from Forever Friends free stamp. Wow...it's friday and hopefully rest for all now that the weekend is here, those that can leave alone the scissors, paper, stamps but not me. Any way gingham paper is from a few years back when I was experimenting with printouts and i can't remember where it's from but I printed it onto cream card to give this effect...in the doily lace border I've tried using my Zision Provocraft tool to tap in some hearts, think it might have worked, bit of an accident over She-baa hence the butterflies, flowers are from one pound shop, everything else from stash. Wishing you all a fab weekend!

ABC Design Blog challenge. Over at ABC Toys and Crafts there's a wonderful challenge 'I Love You..... Sweetheart' and ofcourse I've wanted to use these wonderful new Paris stamps from there too! Well what can I say except when I'm stuck for fancy borders my Martha Stewart Doily lace punch comes in handy all too often, best buy I ever made!!!! Used paper from The Creative Cottage 'fairy Wishes' download onto thick paper for this pouch, a subtle hint to the destination for my hubby...I think I'm dreaming...the template used is from a straight forward door hanger folded in half, bag that you use to protect your cards, stapler and lace from stash, don't forget the chocs. Heart came with a mag and is slightly embossed and foiled, a couple of stamped roses and leaves from an old See D's set and all ready. I've seen some really pretty roses on crafty blogs, they're on my wish list amongst other things. The ring of flowers is made from a single stamp, just following a circle and cut out. I don't have any fancy die cuts but I improvised for this. This is my entry for ABC challenge 'N for new', Digital Tuesday #44 'Try a different fold', Papertake Weekly 'Love Actually', Creative Card Crew #44 'Valentines', Simon Says Colour Inspiration challenge and Fab n Funky #9 'Emboss it' (red heart). Sorry for long post but i do like to link up and give credit where due, it takes me a long time but worth it, happy crafting all!
