Simon Says challenge this week is 'Do Dawny P's Sketch' and a fab one it is too! As usual I do like to team up with Funky Fairys challenge 26 which is 'Girly' and also I've place some eyelets for the CCT challenge 70 which is 'Eye Eye'. The printed papers are from FF 'Aqualicious' kit, poppy stamps are from American Crafts clear stamps as is the sentiment, girly image is 'Maggie with patch the dog' but I've masked him off as I just wanted her on her own and it is from Bootiful Stampz. I've placed an epoxy heart sticker on her t-shirt as there was a letter 'm' and I wanted it to display something a bit different. So there is my latest creation...Summer looks like it's finished here in the UK, as we've had so many downpours, hope the weather is much brighter elsewhere and bye until my next post.
Thanks for visiting, browse around and I hope you find some inspiration!

Just Magnolia challenge # 14 is 'Buttons'. I've used the sketch from Friday Sketchers challenge # 61 which was quite a busy one to work with I thought and my colour combo for Papertake Weekly is 'pink & green'. Image is of course Magnolia 'tilda by the sea', butterflies from Anna Griffin's clear stamps, sentiment from Studio G clear stamps and the beautiful paper which is painful to cover up is the one in my candy giveaway from Dovecraft 'Wild Blossom'. Absolutely love these papers! Colouring is with the new Kohi-Noor woodless colouring pencils, still trying to get the hang of them...sequins and buttons from stash. Hope all is well in blogland 'til next time!

Funky Fairys challenge is a sketch so I've teamed this up with Simon Says challenge is 'Fruity or fruit colours' and also A Spoonfull of Sugar # 61 which is 'swirls'. All the stamps used here are from SSS, MOD Background Designs and Savour Cupcakes sets. I just love these two sets as I tend to mix and match the stamps.Corner swirly paper is from Funky Fairy Inspirations free download. I've not made a tall card for a long time and was trying to figure out how to block all the sides in my pic, I may have educated myself today??? I had to quickly draw and add two extra cherries as I made a 'boo-boo' at the last minute. Glamour dust is added to parts and the middle cupcake is raised onto foam squares. Hope you like this one, bye until next time!

Papertake Weekly Sketch 19. This is a fab one to make a simple card with but amongst other challenges, unfortunately it was almost left till the last minute! The image is a freebie download from Ellie and so perfect for the Cute Card Thursday #69 which is 'Xmas in July'. Everything is fairly basic to my other cards, handcut oval with decorative scissors, blue paper is a download from Crafts Beautiful last year and sentiment is from Sweet N Sassy stamps. Glitter glue gel applied for a bit of sparkle. Thankyou, once again to the lovely people who take the trouble to leave a comment, it's very much appreciated!

The Winner is...
Thankyou firstly for taking the time to comment on my blog and leaving your very kind words, I've been overwhelmed to the response of my teeny weeny candy and even if you haven't won this time, do stop by to see my creations. I would have loved to give candy to everyone of you, especially to those who have chosen to follow and also linked up, so 'thankyou'.
But now to announce my blogaversary winner...
SUEMOM
Congratulations!!!
Please email r.dosanjh1@sky.com to leave your address and I'll get the candy mailed Monday morning. If this prize isn't claimed by Monday, I shall pick another winner.
Hi all! I've just found a new challenge blog, A Crafters Companion. If you have any of their stamps and want to join there's a fab prize on offer. My stamps are all from their own 'Girls' set and papers are from Forever Friends 'Love' pad of papers. Well what can I say, colouring is with copics but I deliberately left tiny faded gaps as a castle doesn't really have even coverage. A mini brad to open the castle door and a special message. Glamour dust added and ribbon from stash. Hope you like this one, there's still time to enter my candy on the right and I hope I can come back on time to announce the lucky winner as we've had thunderstorms and lightening today and it's took me so long to get this card on here. Bye for now!

Simon Says Stamp challenge is 'paper piecing'. I've also followed Friday Sketchers challenge# 60 and this is my entry for Penny Black challenge# 57 ' swirls'. So I found a bit of swirly scrap paper and stamped the pot from the PB 'Hugs' transparent stamps (also my candy which closes on Friday) ladybird is lifted onto 3D foam, backing paper is from Kadoodle Doodles downloads 'pink' range, swirl stamps from SSS MOD Designs set and sentiment from there too from the 'savour the cupcake' set. The top part looked a bit bare so i made a daisy chain from a small punch, brads from old QVC kit. Quick thankyou to the new followers, wow that follower gadget has shot up, I hope you like what you see, but like everyone else I too have off days and sometimes my creations are not up to scratch so to speak but the best thing for me is not to get too upset about it and carry on... so I hope when the candy finishes, you will still come to visit my tiny place. Bye for now and enjoy crafting!

Stampavie challenge #7. This challenge is every 2 weeks and I love to take part as I have one or two Stampavie stamps and here I've used Sarah Kay stamp 'sweet lili' with Kohi- Noor pencils and baby oil for their recipe challenge: 3 flowers, 1ribbon, 2 buttons, and embossing. Sketch Saturday # 58 is the fab sketch used here, and I so did not want to cover up that beautiful desgner paper from Dovecraft 'wild blossom' ,also included in my blog candy, so i used an embossed piece of strong vellum from the back of a travel agent brochure :) with my 'birds and swirls' CB folder. So that is the ABC challenge covered 'V for Vellum', and of course my 'favourite thing' at the moment is the CB embossing folders, so that is the Papertake Weekly challenge covered, the sentiment is from American Crafts clear stamps and the theme over at Cute Card Thursday # 68 is a 'thankyou' card, so this is my entry. Buttons, thread, ribbon from stash and swirl stamp in corner of image is from SSS from MOD background stamps, finished off with a bit of Glamour Dust on the image. Sorry it's a long post to read but it's for quite a few challenges and the right credit should be given, links and so on...bye for now and don't forget to enter my candy.

Friday Sketchers challenge #59. Fab one, thoroughly tested me and ofcourse this is the wonderful image from Lisbet at Scrapmagasinet to enter into their own Scrapmag challenge which is 'Flowers' coincidently. Backing Paper from Basic Grey 'cupcake', used Stempelglede corner stamp on the triangle part, copics used for the bright colours on the image, finished with gems and flower from See D's 'friendship' range. Text on the label is from American Crafts clearstamps. Just about fits in. On the back I've personalised with my very own stamp, absolutely love it! I'd like to say what a pleasure it is to read all the comments left for my candy (see post on the side) and thankyou to all the new followers who have chosen to follow my blog, it is truly appreciated, so a big 'thankyou'...that's all for now until the next post.
Thankyou
Thankyou so much to Lisbet at Scrapmagisinet. I received these beautiful stamps in the post from Norway a couple of days ago and they were a candy I entered. Lisbet has her own stamp company and now they do digital ones too, the personalised stamps are just a way of saying ,'it's what I've created' and I love that touch to a card. They are of extremely good quality with brilliant outline and I just couldn't wait to ink them up... to enter their challenge blog...so the next post is where I've used the both of them.

A Spoonfull of Sugar #58 is 'Summer' this week. I've used 'tilda by the sea' yet again, oops... sorry, but I do like this one very much and so apt for summer/seaside cards. Also this is an entry for Funky Fairys challenge blog which is 'Beach' and ofcourse you must use their papers from their blog or ones that you may have bought. So my little spend was on the 'Aqualicious' kit and i love it! I've used a sketch from Papertake Weekly and so glad this one has turned out okay. I don't have any Nestabilites so I've traced around one card template and made my own. The corner black flowers and border running down at each side is from American Crafts clear stamps, the text is a Studio G stamp. Thankyou so much for the wonderful comments and please don't forget to enter my candy on the side bar. Bye 'til next time.

Celebrating 1 Year of Blogging
Okay, here we go with my offering of blog candy to celebrate my first year of blogging. I think without a doubt I'm totally addicted and thoroughly enjoying it! Didn't think I would carry on, so just was an experiment to see what all this blogging was about, I've made friends through this computer as I was on the verge of throwing it out of the window before I started making cards. I just couldn't get into computing but that is in the past now. Crafting has definitely made me realise that past the computer is an enjoyable whole world full of friendships, their own individual talents and inspiration. So... I have... Penny Black 'Hugs' Transparent sheet of wonderful stamps (so many on this sheet to choose from) and a 6x6 Dovecraft Designer pack of papers to giveaway to one person.
Everyone is welcome to enter, will ship worldwide, just leave a comment on this post and I'll draw on the Friday 17th July after 6pm GMT. Good Luck To All and please be sure to come back to see if you've won.

Penny Black challenge 55 is a wonderful sketch. I've stamped a border of See D's stamp on yellow card in green ink, them CB embossed it with birds and swirls folder, layered two strips of HOTP paper, some fibres across the bottom and posh yellow ribbon down the side, image is PB ( was sent to me),coloured with copic and also watercoloured. I couldn't find any matching flowers, so I made my own by punching and colouring with the matching Copics and adding some gems. The bees carrying the letter is added from the 'Hugs' PB clear stamps. Text is a stamp from Simon Says Stamp 'savour cupcakes' set. This is my entry for the SSS challenge which is a colour combo 'apple green, lemon, orange and pink' but you can use just two colours (i've stuck to green and lemon). This I would like to be my entry for Cute Card Thursday #67 too 'stitch in time' and I've used a faux zig-zag stitch.
Just Magnolia challenge # 11. It's a sketch this week by the lovely Bev and I've used 'tilda by the sea' but chopped off her legs in the sea so it would fit in my circle. Her dress is coloured with Kohi-Noor pencils just for experimenting and I like the result. Face, arms I've used Copics, pink card is stamped with See D's flower, text and the corner stamps are from American Crafts clear stamps, black/white dotty paper is die cut on my CB and brads and ric-rac from stash. Enjoy a fab day, it's getting very hot here, I think it's best to stay indoors!

Sentiment is from American Crafts sentiments clear stamps, image is from Pink Gems and the wings are done with lots of glamour dust. Flowers are stamped with See D's range 'Garden of friendship' flower, I've just added my own lines to it and attached with yellow brads. The heat is so intense at the moment herein the UK, my card was nearly falling apart, thank god for those brads, enjoy your evening and I hope to get another one done but if not there's always another day.
