Funky Fairys Inspiration challenge # 9 which is 'Fruits or Fruity Colours' and Sketch Saturday # 44. I found this bright orange card in my stash and thought about this challenge straight away, cuttlebugged with swiss dots folder, everything was already printed out, just handcut the scallops, text is some small alphabet stamps with bits of small cherries cut out from Funky Fairies free downloads, the cupcake is part of the free download that Shaz has very kindly given for free but there's a kit in the shop ( feeling fruity) which is scrumptious, if only money grew on trees... coloured in with various copics, chalked and glamour dust added, fiskars Sun burst border punch used for the white strip across and the yellow dotty is the 'seeing spots vol 1' from there too! Finally doodling with my fine waterproof pen to finish. Hope you like this creation, any comments are always appreciated. :)
A Spoonfull of Sugar challenge # 44 'easter', ABC challenge 'g for glitter', and also High Hopes challenge #24 ' Borders'. I've used green corrugated cardstock, then layered some pretty paper that came as part of a candy, sorry don't know the make, images are She-baa from High Hopes Stamps kindly sent by Nicole, I thought it was perfect for this theme, masked it and stamped 'the wishing tree' from The Greetings Farm, so it looks like in the background and washed over the branches with w/colouring, as is She-baa, the branches have glamour dust added which my camera hasn't picked up well, (but it's there) text 'easter' is handwritten and 'wishes' comes as part of the tree stamp set, hole punched and string tied, raised on foam pads, my border is on the bottom made with Martha Stewart doily lace punch, to finish a gem added to the bell round the neck! Hope all is doing well in blogland and everyone is enjoying crafting as much as I am albeit my family think I've gone crafting mad and the house is somewhat quieter since I've been blogging! Byee for now.

Papertake Weekly # 11 is a sketch and Cute Card Thursday # 53 'family affair'. So the backing beige is really thick paper from a bargain box of paper from town and has a sort of leather type look and feel (perfect for a man card i thought), brown is from Summertime Designs free downloads which has been cuttlebugged in the cobweb embossing folder, green is swiss dots embossing folder with paper from Funky Fairys Inspirations 'love train' freebie. My image was a bargain at the QVC 'bargain hunter' page. This stamp along with a big ted with cake, present stamp, 6x6 paper pad and three sheet of stickers only for £10! Text is from Melissa Frances clear stamps and as I didn't have any suitable brads, improvised by stamping with stazon onto silver mirri board and punched it out for the screws. Loved making this card as it gave me a chance to get out some stuff I'd been given recently... hope you like, and have a good friday evening ...yippeee... weekend!

Funky Fairys challenge #8 'scrapbook page' and Kaboodledoodles #4 is a sketch by Andrea which I've rotated clockwise (hope it's alright). Spotty paper is FF free downloads and green is the Kaboodles 'christmas contemporary' kit, stamp is 'maggie with patch' from Bootiful Stampz and the individually w/coloured and cut-out flowers from Crafters Companion Girls stamp sheet. Sentiment from Penny Black 'hugs' sheet full of stamps. As you can see this isn't a scrapbook page :( as I don't do scrapbooking at all, so Ria has just saved the day by changing it a bit and you can over- embellish it now :) ... so I've stuck the flowers under some corners and edges to give it a feel of a scrapbook page, glitter gel pen used for the center of flowers and ribbon from stash. I really enjoy participating in both these challenges but was stumped by the little hitch but all is well now and have to get it in the challenge before tomorrow, quick...thankyou for reading, bye for now.

Penny Black Challenge # 41 'doodling' and Sketch Saturday challenge # 43. I thoroughly enjoyed making this card except I ran out of the blue card to layer the center image :( ... so in came the silver mirri board. The flowery paper is from Making Handmade cards.com and was a freebie, image is of course Penny Black from the 'hugs' sheet as is the sentiment and has been doodled around in gel pen, some sticky back hearts from the kids box and glam dust to bling it up a bit. Hope you like and has to be a really quick post, yesterday Mothering Sunday was the best as I was spoilt rotten with crafty stuff from family, hope yours was good if you celebrated. Byeeee.

Penny Black challenge, has a lovely sketch to work with and I've used one image off the 'hugs' clear stamps. There's so many on there and they came from The Glitter Pot (super fast service) with some all important stuff for my candy. So the paper is Funky Fairy Inspirations free download, lime dotty strip from Kaboodles, my new Sunburst fiskars punch used to create a ribbon effect with a 3cm width strip of card, nice posh flowers, candy floss zooms in corners from Toodles and Binks and sentiment from computer with 'rickles' font. Happy St. Patricks Day! I think I have a bit of green in there somewhere. :) I really am so happy I finished this creation so well ahead of the challenge which is the High Hopes challenge # 22 'No Patterned Paper' and I have used the She-ba stamp from HH which was so very very kindly sent to me by Nicole. She is a wonderful generous person full of talent and inspiration and I love the cards created which can be seen here. Well I wanted to use this for the sponging challenge at HH but was too late to take part in that one but was determined not to miss this one, so the sketch used is from Friday Sketchers # 43, there's machine stitching, cuttlebug swiss folder, some DCWV cardstock, burgundy crotchet flowers from a candy and the white ones I've done, brads from QVC kit, sentiment with small alphabet stamps, and last of all but not least gems which fits A Spoonfull of Sugar challenge # 43 for this week too! WOW... hope today was a fun day and any comments are always appreciated.

So here it is this week following a sketch, pale backing paper and 'kisses' one is from the 'love train' from Funky Fairy Inspirations, I love their papers, they print out wonderfully and just as if you bought them from a shop! The stripes are Shabby Princess free d/loads 'promises', all edges chalked, cuttlebug folder 'swiss dots' used, sentiment is part of a freebie with one of the cardmaking magazines, Forever Friends bear w/coloured and balloon with copics Y 06 is on foam pads to add dimension, tiny flower is from a patch coloured with copics B 29 and punched out. Gem added and brown grosgrain ribbon from stash, handcut tag and doodling to finish! Hope you will leave a comment so I can come visit your blog and say hi. That's all for now, byeeee.

Random Act of Kindness

Yes there is a little something waiting to go out to Lynsey, ABChobb.it, Moon, Debra, Lia and Riet. You're 6 special people who thought my blog was worthy of following and I was so happy when i had two, then three and now six following me. I started this blog with the intention of displaying my creativity as I was really beginning to enjoy this new found love of cardmaking but never imagined there would be anyone looking at my creations, it's wonderful when bloggers leave encouraging and positive comments, so a big 'THANKYOU!'

Please forward your addresses to my email add which is r.dosanjh1@sky.com and I'll get some stamped images in the post next week. Many thanks to the wonderful people who take the time to come to my small place in blogland and have a restful weekend. Ruby x
Funky Fairys challenge # 7 is to make a doorhanger. You must use one of their papercraft items to take part and there's always free downloads on their blog to use. This is using the papers from my win 'seeing spots vol 1' and the template is provided on the DT blogs if you don't know how to make one. I've downsized it as this is for a small toddler who has several already for her door and it could stand so easily on a shelf too if there was a pic peeping through the hole. This was the first time I've ever made anything like this and found it to be so easy. The same template doubles up to make a little bag, mine is filled choclate eggs, w/coloured image used is 'mimi with chicks' from Pink Gem Designs on some 3D foam and used some stamped chicks from same stamp for the bag, little lilac daisies punched and stuck on the circles, bit of string to hold the top together. I would like this to go for the ABC challenge 'e for easter' too.

Hi all! I've missed a couple of Papertake Weekly challenges recently and the sketch on there was in my comfort zone so i thought I'd give it a go. This is a large tall card covered with 'Sundaes' flourish pattern from Pink Petticoat downloads. The little birdie is from there too, Liz the owner of PP gave it for free. There are some beautiful samples on their blog and always love paying them a quick visit. I've chalked on the big areas and pencilled in smaller areas, pink microfine glitter added to hear and also given some blingy eyelashes, spotty paper is gift wrap punched with Martha Stewart doily lace punch, added three stones from Josey Rose Boutique and a sentiment from See D's range. Hope you can leave me a comment so I can come visit you. Bye for now!

Here is my serving for today. This is for the Kaboodle Doodle challenge # 2 'vintage' and Friday Sketchers challenge # 42. So the backing green paper is from their christmas contemporary range which I inked with clear ink and brown chalked to give old look, the purple spotty is from their halloween kit which I've torn, the circle and two strips are from Funky Fairy free downloads. I've made so many girly/ female cards that I have struggled to come up with male themed cards but that will be resolve now that I had a little spend at Toodles and Binks. That is where this lovely stamp 'Mark and Milo' is from and you can buy it here. It comes with its own text and I stuck to it for the sketch, although it would do for a gentlemans get well card, there are so many themes, camping trip, rambling and hiking events, or even a 'goodbye' card to someone moving abroad! Well so, it's been w/coloured and I've given the little fella a rosey cheek too! No glitter on this one, strip of fibre and a button with co-ordinating thread and two photo corners created with my fiskars scissors and doodled around. Hope all is well in blogging land and I'm trying to sort something out for a candy when it reaches the 5'000 mark to thank the lovely people who have come to visit me! So keep tuned into this blog, it won't be for just one person! Have a good day.

Funky Fairy Challenge #6 'colour theme blue'. This creation i had made days ago using a very old stamp from QVC made by Funstamps. This was one of my very first stamps I bought from there when I discovered cardmaking about two years ago. I have managed to sort my stamps and placed them in a spot where they will get some use now. So the paper is of course Funky fairy Inspirations 'love train' which I stamped a sentiment with a QVC foam stamp and cuttlebugged it with swiss dots embossing folder, torn some blue gingham which was a freebie, can't remember from where and edged with black ink, sewn two buttons onto a strip, ted is w/coloured holding onto his wine and glass, mounted onto some silver mirri board and glam dust added onto bow tie and the bubbles, that's got me thinking maybe it's champagne! Sliver of left over mirri board to decorate each corner. This is my entry for Cute Card Thursday #50 'wine and dine' and also A Spoonfull of Sugar #41 which is 'torn edges'. I'm glad I managed to get some challenges into this one as my time is being limited at the moment. Hope you will leave a comment, that's it for now, except I'll be adding the follow feature to my blog at the top as some very kind bloggers have expressed an interest in my blog, so a big 'thankyou' to those nice people!!! :))
