Morning to a very warm sunny start to the week, wow, what a difference to yesterdays weather... rain, rain and rain non-stop. I think you can guess this is not a card in the pic but a full adult size jumper for my daughter (longer in the sleeve as that's how they like them now adays, I've been told). Am I glad this is finished, it was a promise i kept since November last year and she loves it and is safely tucked away in her winter draw for later this year. It's so snug annd warm made from a Wendy pattern 5616 Merino Chunky and is very textured indeed. The rib is a twisted rib and the base pattern is really quick with only a 2 row pattern. Hope you like this as much as I like the finished product! Hoping to return to my fave challenges and get some cards made before I start on my next knitting project for my hubby.
Thanks for visiting, browse around and I hope you find some inspiration!

They've flown the nest...not my children but the family of Robins that were residing in my hubbys (not finished shed), this is the continuation after we discovered we had some feathered friends residing with us in an outbuilding (shed). This is a first for me (with animals) as is trying to work the new interface on Blogger, have I really forgotten how it works or have they made it more complicated..well we'll see how this goes. All the pics have been taken only 2-3 days apart and it's amazing how all this has happened..from 5 little eggs to 4 pairs of eyes, it looks like the 5th didn't make it.
This was taken Tuesday...
...and this is what greeted me today..I'll leave it to you to work out where the 4 of them were before they flew off.
I was petrified to see those long nails that my hubby didn't get to tidy off but will hopefully do now that they've fled. However, I may just persuade him to leave a small enough vent for them to come back if they choose to. What a tender moment the last few weeks have been..just to see if they would make it out of that carrier bag, I'm so pleased they made it but sad to see them go. Hoping we will have the pleasure of another lot..just maybe? Many thanks for visiting, sorry there's no card but I'd love to know what you think.

Happy beginning of the week! Wow, Monday here again, and i thought I'd show you my card using the Buzzy Bees d/load from Pink Petticoat. Liz is so generous that i bought this when there was an offer on with when you buy the images you get all the Honeycomb colourways for free! Lovely Jubbly!!! Before i get on to my details just like to say the Robin family are doing well, definitely getting bigger by the day, collection of pics will be up soon. Sooo my card has very minimal colouring with a yellow Promarker on the bee, glamour dust added to the wing, spare piece of black thin ribbon, some yellow scrap card hand cut circle, some die cut wording using my Baby Face dies from Cuttlebug. Oh yes a Martha Stewart fence punch.
Challenges are only a few (for a change..;)..Dieing For a challenge 'sketch', Paper Shelter 'wings & things' and Sir Stampalot is celebrating their 2nd birthday..Yippeeee!!!! Bye for now.

Hello to all on a chilly Sunday, lots of sunshine to brighten the day and I've some yellow on my card too! Hope that craftland is still crafting ...me? I'm on a quest to finish some knitting I'd started, that's why my creations have somewhat dwindled lately. I've been on the mini hop at LOTV and it reminded me of the several unused stamps I've got (I'm ashamed as I do love them very much). Here I've got 'little dot' from LOTV, comes complete with that sentiment, stamped 3 times so that I could spend time decoupaging it, used Promarkers, embossed, cut off 2 rough corners with my deco scissors, ribbon and silver pearls from Meiflower, tiny buttons from stash, finished off with Glamour dust on wings.
Many challenges entered...Promarker 'white on white' as is I Love Promarkers, LOTV 'transport' as I understand it 'fairies' can be included, My Mums Craft Shop 'celebrate', Love To Create 'birthday', Sweet Stampin 'girly but no pink', Colour Create 'yellow, blue, white', Crafty Catz 'animals..can a butterfly be included?', Crafty Ribbons 'wings' as are Totally Papercrafts and Paperplay. Crazy 4 'buttons', Stamptacular Sunday 'free week', Simon says 2nd, Cupcake Craft 2nd and Little Darlings 2nd. Thankyou for taking time to visit!

As promised yesterday, this is what we discovered in my hubby's shed this Easter..new beginning for Easter. The nest is in an old paper bag hung on a hook only to one handle with lots of other bags inside it, what a lovely surprise and I've showed the pics to all my family too, they're Robin eggs and it comes through a triangular piece of space that my hubby didn't quite get round to finishing off, delight to see even the Robin sitting on them below and a closer shot too. We're able to wander in and out of the shed as it's behind the door where my hubby used to hang his jacket but not any more, I keep reminding him not to disturb them. I can't wait to see the eggs hatch and the little ones getting strong to fly out. Hope to come back with some pics in a couple of weeks on the update. Thanks for visiting, and I'd love you to leave a comment so I can visit you too! Bye for now.

Hi to everyone, hope Easter has gone well to all who celebrated, come back tomorrow to see what I discovered over the holidays!!! Today onto my little creation which will be given soon to a very clever boy in my family..and I expect this is what he's been doing in his holidays in the intermittent rain showers, and we've had many today. The image is a stamp from Motivet from a couple of years back called 'dexter in puddle', coloured with Promarkers, brown card from my grocers, paper d/load from Nikky's cd, lovely sentiment from Paulette 'thankyou', tiny bit of ribbon from scrap and great pearls from Meiflower, absolutely stunning products there (a must see). So sorry about the bluish background I suspect the setting has been changed on my camera, will have to look into it.
There are alot of challenges on the theme of April Showers namely.. Oldie but a goodie, Papertake Weekly, Paper Playtime, Party time Tuesdays 'water', Little darlings 'outside', Stamp & Create 'spring' as are Cards For Men, Cupcake Craft, Bunny Zoes monthly 'ribbon or twine', Anything 'anything goes', Here Come the boys 'anything but a card' as is Craft Us Crazy, Lady bug Crafts Ink 'shapes', Allsorts 'bingo..
