Polka Doodle week 4. This is my final week of guest designing for Nikky at Polka Doodle and it's a 'Valentine card using non-traditional colours'. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing with the Back To Nature cd, I'm sure there's lots more I could do with the sections I've not got round to using. So onto my card, it's a heart shape and it stands too! Made from the Heritage paper, silver mirri board for small heart using cuttlebug die and alphies from the cd. I cut out 2 big hearts, started working with the front one, covered with the lovely paper first then machine stitched the lace on.

Lace was pleated first...

Sewed on the ribbon and button, all the other bits, then glued the back of the heart as you can see, snipped off the bottom point to make it stand, also as the lace covered it you couldn't see where the point would be missing, so it went really well. I think my sewing machine may be used a little more this year...

The back of the card where I've scored and folded a quarter at the top to glue it together, finished off with a personalised stamp from Lisbet at Scrapmagasinet. I'd like to say a big 'Thankyou' to Nikky for allowing me to be a guest designer, never done this before and have loved it!!! The ladies on the team produce some gorgeous creations, why not have a go...and enter the weekly challenges, So it goes without saying, the challenges i'm entering are A Spoonfull of Sugar 'free style',Cinspirations #45 'Feminine', Lexis Creations #5 Valentines, Incy Wincy #27 'buttons, bows, ribbon, lace' and Cute daisy May 'Vintage'. Have a fun and restful weekend all!
