I'm having fun at the moment, just gently releasing myself into the big river of crafting (if that makes sense).
I like to keep a stash of kids cards nearby for emergency use. This is one of them... This particular one will go for Karin's challenge over at http://karinhoeve.blogspot.com
Her daughter will be 6 soon and she would like some sort of creation.

So I thought since it is summer and my kids always used to pick up ladybirds and put them in containers, this one would kind of fit the challenge.
The red dotty paper (it looks pink, but it is't) is from my own stash, big dotty paper from local craft goody store in town is mounted on some card. Flower Stencil I used from my kids when little, lifted with foam pads ,pink button and a little white ribbon. Five little flowers stamped with See D's Garden of Friendship in red, grass stamped in green. Ladybird (i'd seen somerewhere else) I made myself with a goggly eye.It looks like it only has 3 legs but it is a side view. Finished with a sentiment peel-off and edged with red inkpad. I hope her little daughter likes it!

This card is for Michelle's Blogoversary Round Two

I'm trying to use my creative skills that I have learned so far therefore using materials I had even forgotten that I had.
Michelle would like a card for her challenge which consists of one colour group . See her blog http://cardgrotto.blogspot.com
I've only used a small amount of patterned paper and on the plain bit stamped using an image from See D's Garden of Friendship (50009) in clear versa ink and heat embossed using Personnel Impressions Verdigris EMP 707. The ribbon/braid came with a QVC kit. Sentiment tag is lifted with foam pads and 3 small gems just to give a bit of sparkle. I enjoyed using up some materials which I keep wanting to stay in their packages as they look too good to be used . Does that strike a cord with any one? Hope you like. I'm also getting grips with my new digi camera. That's all for now.

Ooh , I know what I've forgotten to add that over at www.papercraftjunkies.com is a fantastic e-mag. Great fun!!

I got this idea from Papercraft Inspirations August issue for Heather's goodbye card. There was a shaped card in it.
I've covered with some blue stripey paper from a kit off QVC, stamped in black with a yacht stamp off See D's 50161, a pink Prima flower with co-ordinating turquoise brad, silver mirri board scallop edge done with my cheap scallop scissors raised with foam pads and round shape sentiment done on computer. The card is edged with pink pigment ink pad. The pink background paper has been done on the computer too. It was fun making this one and I hope you like it! (Just dipping my toes in to see if I like all this challenge business.)

I have made this card to send to a friend for her birthday next month. I would also like it to go towards Nikki's blog candy :) http://nikkiscardsandnews.blogspot.com

I have used paper from HOTP 5203 Friendship, pink paper from my own stash box, pretty posh ribbon, Prima flower with a button from my own box, New Cuttlebug dies (baby face) and silver gems in the middle of background flowers, even though they are hard to see.

I have down-sized these cutie templates from the August issue of PaperCraft Inspirations to fit in a 14cm x 14cm envelope.

Quite impressed & I loved making them!
