Hi all, daylight went too fast yesterday. So here is another one of my recent wins pictured in proper light (natural). They're gorgeous vintage stamps from Paper Pretties called Timeless love, thankyou so much, I'm hoping to use this set quite a bit next month and today entering into their own challenge 'sewing'. I used a freebie d/load from Far Far Hill (lovely vintage papers if you're ever stuck), stamped with Black Memento, sewed my panels first, stuck them down with wet glue whilst my gift bag template was flat, put it all together with more wet glue, attached some brads to hold the flap together, red ribbon from Crafty Ribbons. The chocolates are still there, I've been good!

The back showing the fastened flap.

Other challenges entered are Crazy 4 'vintage, shabby look', new to me Sugar Creek Hollow 'vintage/valentine', Crafty sentimrents 'Favourite things', Paper Romance (new to me) is Anything but a card and they also had a fab hop which I joined in, CES is 'bold and bright', and Stamptacular Sundays 'whateva'. Enjoy a fab Monday until next time!

For my second post. It's the House Mouse challenge 'embossing'. I won a fantastic amount of stamps from their blog hop so a massive 'Thankyou' to them and Sue whose blog I won them from :))))) I love these mices and what they get up to illustrated in the images. This is from the Joanna Sheen JSHM004 sheet Birthdays. I've got so many now that I'm spoilt for choice but no doubt get round to inking them soon. Everything else from stash. Stripey off cuts paper from Janet's fab blog, stamped in Walnut Stain distress ink, washed over and a couple of Promarkers used, sentiment comes in the sheet.

Other challenges entered are...Simon says 'animal antics', Everybody art 'fave things'... mine at the moment would have to be these mices! Kaboodle Doodle 'bling it up', Totally papercrafts 'card for a kiddie', Crafty catz 'flowers', used the fab sketch from The Pixie Cottage and 'flowers, Cupcake Inspirations is a pic inspiration 'pink, red and white and lots of yumminess'. Hope to be back tomorrow.
Hello and welcome to my blog crafters! Today and for tomorrow too I've a very quiet house...everyone is doing 'their own thing'...so I thought I'd have a crafting feast and enjoy myself with alot of crafty goodies I've won lately in challenges and hops. You know what they say 'you've got to be in it to win it!' So my image is from Crafters Companion, (won a lovely bag full of various stamps last year) and for their own sketch challenge, handcut scallops, heat embossed using Stazon inkpad and very quickly sprinkling clear embossing powder and heating, added extra snowflakes from a clear stamp afterwards, sentiment is from CC too. Washed the image subtly with Koi's w/colours, corrugated white is my 'recycled' bit from a christmas chocolate box (the inside bit to protect chocs). This would be perfect for a male, i think.

So the other challenges I'm entering are...Allsorts 'nature' anything recycled, new #to me...Alphabet Challenge 'm for men', Inky Impressions 'emboss it', ABC Christmas 'black & white', Stamp Something 'winter something', Crafts and me 'Monochrome', Christmas Card challenges 'no colouring' (so sorry there's a minimal amount), and Incy Wincy 'winter wonderland but no xmas cards'. Back in a bit.

As promised, a quick tutorial (excuse the bad pics) on how to make this pyramid card. Originally it was alot smaller so I adapted the measurements to fit this cute couple of monkeys! I chose my A4 size d/load paper from the kit d/load...

Turned it over to mark some measurements, not sure if you can see...all long lines are 18.5cm and the 3 base lines are 9.7cm each. My paper is checked so I placed my measurements along the bottom of paper, if paper is random flowers, small pattern etc, I would place my template (using the long line 18.5cm) along the the shorter edge of my A4 paper to save paper.

Cut out and score along the long lines...

...and stand up...Mine was backed onto some inexpensive card on the inside before I decorated it. Scroll down one post it's all there to see the end result.

Hope it was of interest to some crafty bloggers, if so please do leave a comment. Have a good Friday all!

A bit blurry but the idea's there, come back tomorrow to see a quick tutorial about measurements for my card which I adapted to make it this size. Have a fab evening all, Bye for now.
It's that time again. Faith has give this wonderful 'bears big gift' digi image, just what I've been looking for teenage male cards (love his boots). I sent a card off this morning(one I'd just made for Postpals...it seemed very fitting as it was going overseas). Sorry it's a long post, thankyou for reading, bye for now.

Card No 2 for PostPals. Hope these posts aren't too much for a Saturday, I'd got a feeling I may forget about these cards and just post them off! So, my 2nd instalment for Post pals, I do get stuck for Male teenagers so always on the look out for something different, i won this digi image from ASOS some time ago (it's from KLM) and i think i only used this one once...Young Cowboy is coloured with Promarkers, 'birthday boy' sentiment is an inexpensive stamp i bought some time ago (forgot i had it) but I changed the 'b's into capitals with my black pen, tag is die cut from Baby Face Dies, text from American Crafts stamps, used some stripey paper from last card from Nikky, green plaid is freebie from Crafters Companion Dec 2010.

Challenges entered are Paper Play 'back to BLACK', Inky Impressions 'tag it', Creative card crew (2nd entry), ASOS 'blue & green', used fab sketch from Sunday Sketch & stamp, Digi Doodles is 'anything goes', Rainbow Ladys are having some celebrations, so their theme is Highland Fling (something scottish, paper),Crafty Catz 'forgotten stamp, bottom sentiment) and 3rd and final entry for I love Promarkers 'keep it sweet & simple'. Have a fab weekend all!
Card No1 for PostPals. It's been a long time since i took part in Nikky's Polka Doodle #, they've still got last weeks challenge up 'Sketch, colours red & blue and white and freebie d/load papers have been given away'. I really love it when there's something to start you off on a challenge...I needed to stock up on some male teenage card for Post Pals so i used fab digi manga image from Nikky's Back to Nature CD, coloured him with my Promarkers. One for Designed 2 Delight. Faith gave a lovely cupcake digi image for this weeks challenge, and sister challenge Double Delight is to use any 2 D2D images together. I found 'mice wishes' in my files and tried to put it onto mousys hand (didn't work) as you can see my computer skills only work when the kids are around. So a quick cut around the cupcake and there it is! Some fab ribbon from Crafty Ribbons. Hope you like it.

Other challenges entered are Crafty Cardmakers (they've got 2 challenges running at the same time) one is to use ONLY pencils as a colouring medium...no promarkers, copics, felt pens etc. I dug out what seems to be an ancient method of colouring for me now as I've moved onto other colouring methods. Have a wonderful day all!
One for Allsorts. Their theme is Brown and Teal Blue, brown being kraft paper and blue is an old d/load, combined with Penny Black 'buffet table' (like the idea) so chose 'paper, ribbon,3flowers and 3gems(pearls) hope it still qualifies, image from Hugs set stamped with walnut stain distress ink and washed a little with water, also Penny Black at Allsorts monthly # is still 'all u need is love' as is Promarker #, chose the fab sketch from Sketch & Stash (new ribbon and old stamps, paper), I love Promarker is 'keep it sweet & simple'(used the pastel set), Papertake Weekly is 'ribbons & pearls', Fab n Funky is 'animal magic', Stamp Something is 'anything goes', and For Fun # is Glitter. Good evening, hope all had a good start to the week. My pics are bad today as it got darker quicker and this card was made ages ago so no excuses really for me not to have taken the pic earlier, but I'll go on to explain this is a d/load sheet from Crafters Companion Beatrix Potter range (I think from their website free). I'd made this from a scrappling into a gate fold. It will do for a winter male card so it's going for Cards For men 'let's party', One Stop Craft 'male card', Pollycraft 'sweet pastel colours', Crafty Purple is 'new goodies' (the decoupage set), Digi Stamps 4 Joy 'button up' as is Craft Your Passion, Totally Papercrafts 'happy birthday', Papertake Weekly 'cold & frosty morning', CInspirations 'pic inspiration' and Creative card Crew 'different folds'. Hello all! I've got this card to show for the House Mouse # which is 'New', they're also having a fab New Year Hop so I'm hoping to find time to get through it. Stamp used is their own House Mouse Apple Harvest I believe (rather a large stamp but there's so many parts of it I could use as i have here (moving of the apples). Paper is from Kaboodle Doodles, I love using their downloads and this particular kit I won some years back, sentiment made on the computer using Calligraphy font, some inexpensive blue paper flowers. Hope you like this one as much as I do even though at one stage i never thought I'd get it finished through everyone being under the weather here. I do hope it's going away now, not a nice start to the new year.
