Good evening. I really wanted to enter the Sugar Bowl challenge who are using a fab sketch from Marlene and colours Black, White and 1 other (mine is blue). The sketch seemed perfect for this Fore Manga image, lovely for avid golfers, backing paper from Pink Petticoat seed pods from Autumn Blossoms kit, black & white check from Summer Driggs d/loads. The 3 golf balls are lifted with foam pads, no glitter and no sentiment on this one as it may become an age card for someone. Hope you like this one, I'd love it if you would leave a comment, I'd like to welcome the latest couple of followers, hope you like what you see and can find time to come often! Bye for now.

One more thing. So sorry, today seems to be a marathon of posts but I couldn't find this card to photo it earlier and while clearing away I found it. It's for Nutcrafters (challenge ends soon) on their theme of Thankyou and used their own fab digi image, paper from Crafters Companion CD, stars made with Baby Face Cuttlebug dies, finished with a peel-off! Ofcourse it fits Rainbow Ladys which is on the same theme as is Pixie Dust, Paper Play is stars, used the super sketch from Sketch Saturday but on its side. Wishing you a fine day, don't forget to look in the posts below to see if there's some kindness coming your way!

Hi again. For my second post today (please see below if you've been chosen as a faithful follower) I've this absolutely cute Wags n Whiskers stamp on my sweetie bag which is just a normal card bag filled with fatness and a topper. The sentiment is from American Crafts clear stamps (good purchase from QVC) and have so many in one pack, papers are Pink Petticoat which if I'm correct were a freebie giveaway at one time...so pretty with all different colours and a fab font...some bakers twine from my flour bags that I've saved over the years, lightly stamped some snowflakes around the girl. Such a quick easy make that I went onto make a few others while I had the papers out!

So I managed to find challenges this fits aswell as the WNW wrap it up, gift, CRAFT christmas project, Crafty Catz christmas, Christmas Stampin anything goes, Creative Card Crew treat boxes/bags, Charisma one for the Girls, One Stop Card christmas cuties and Anything # is Animals. That's all for now, snow is here and settled, iced over. I think staying indoors is a very good idea!!!
Morning all to the beginning of a brand new week. I just wanted to thank one of my loyal followers...

Please email me r.dosanjh1(at)sky(dot)com and I'll get some laces for embellishing your cards along with some blue sparkling braid from Yesterdays card off to you! Keep an eye on this blog, I may just pick you for leaving comments on my creations like Lia did! Ruby x

Good afternoon. Cuddly Buddly are onto their 2nd challenge and we've been given free d/load papers to work with, how fab they are...so I went about making another door hanger but in the shape of a christmas stocking and matching little goodie bag. This will be going to the brother of the little girl's red door hanger i made a couple of posts ago. Tied a bit of blue sparkly braid to this one, a clip to hold the bag together (wouldn't have looked nice with lace, ribbons and all that pretty stuff...no not for boys). Super digi image from Cuddly Buddly site and sentiment ticket free from Janie. Thankyou!

So this falls into 8 challenges namely, Polka Doodles Twas the night before Christmas, Bah Humbug Feeling Blue as is Pollycraft this week, Colour Create is colour challenge ( I believe the colour are there on the cuddly snowman), used my limited set of Promarkers Pastels, pink, blue, green Brights Cyan and bit of blender.Winter Wonderland is Shape up, simlarly Everybody Art is too, Quixotic Paperie is still Not rectangle/square and Creative Cottage is Untraditional Christmas (gone with colours). We've snow and settled it is too from yesterday, very treacherous so be safe if you're enduring through this difficult but magical weather! I'd love to know who stops by my blog regularly so i can send out some kindness, please stop by tomorrow, bye for now!

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm so thankful for all the people around me who make me a better person including the crafting community in blogland. So today even though we don't celebrate it here in the UK and it is America's special day, I'd like to wish all a very happy day however you choose to celebrate it! In this posting I've got to show a stamp which came in the Craft Stamper magazine which I bought a couple of weeks ago and keep meaning to enter the challenge over at Squiggle Stamps which is Sparkle, no designer papers here, instead i've showcased the little image 3 times and 3D'd the middle one, added glam dust, gold ric-rac, embossed some white with Snowflake Impressabilities in my cuttlebug and finished off with ticket from here. This one fits the Daring Cardmakers'We 3', anything in 3's, Creative Inspirations Red, Green & Gold, ABC # I for Ice/snow. Well there's plenty of ice at the North Pole i think :))))).

Good morning all! No snow yesterday but nearly...so maybe today it will. It's Thursday and this week Faith gave us all Skating Penguin...at first i thought what can I do with him...then it dawned on me, I've been wanting to make one of these for a long time, don't know what they're called but I quite like this end result. So it's for Designed 2 Delight Digital Stamps, their sister challenge Double Delight Snowflakes, Simon Says Let it snow, Paper Pretties Clean & simple (really is, just place your image on card blank and cut round), I Love Promarkers Anything Goes...used Brights cyan, yellow and black, Pastels set blue, pastel beige and their blender pen,new challenge to me Scrappy Frogs is merry christmas, Crafty Creations Christmas is coming, Incy Wincy is Blue & White, Crafty Sentiments Christmas (gone with untraditional colours), and Cute Card Thursday is Blast from Past.. mine is #136 So Transparent (used some recycled bits of acetate from old cracker box for flying flakes). Wonderful papers from here.

...inside, no Glamour Dust as I'm building up a little collection to send to Postpals, i think glitter can be a bit irritating if it gets on you and you're not feeling too good anyaway. Sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy Snowflake set, sequins for the middles. My personalised stamp is from Lisbet. Thankyou for your visit today, hope to be back with another!

One for Polka Doodle. This week they've had a blog hop with an unscramble the word competition. I must say it took me a long time to get it and even now I'm doubting it's the right word!!! I'm not that clever...when they see my answer they'll know. So Nikky (boss lady from PD) actually gave entrants the 'Give Thanks' digi wording and we had to use it somewhere in the creation...you're right I've gone with another step card with bits of acetate to give the illusion of butterflies and words just flying around. I hope I achieved that on this one...paper, precoloured flower and also girl image from Back To Nature CD, there's still lots on there I've not used. Lace from stash, lush pique ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, charm from stash and stamped butterflies from my old Dandelion & Daisy stamps.

Other challenges this one fits is Fab N Funky Go with the flow (anything), Flutter by Wednesdays Thankyou and butterfly(s) and Allsorts is lace, ribbon and charm. I've gained a couple of followers so a big welcome to the new ones, hope you like what I make and will stay with me.We're expecting snow any time, so it's full heating on!

One for Crafty Sentiments. Wow, I loved this digi image free from their blog for their Black and Red # and is going on for a door hanger today. Couldn't glitter up any of those X cut punch snowflakes as this little family member has enough allergies to deal with and glitter/glam dust would only irritate her... so I opted to place silver sequins in their middles...gorgeous red paper is from the talented Martine, wonderful!!! Sentiment on tag is from a freebie mag, bakers twine is 'really' what it is, from my kitchen (my flour comes in a bag with loads of it used for the closure, and I've saved lots of it through the years in the hope it'll come handy one day). Staples used on this one and small strip of ribbon.

So the other challenges entered are Winter Wonderland A Decoration, Secret Crafter is a Christmas gift, Digital Tuesday Let it snow, Crazy Challenges Staples, Whoopsie Daisy Holiday, Papertake Weekly is Cut it out, Die Cut Dreams Anything but a card NO CARDS, A Spoonfull of Sugar is Anything Goes as is a new one to me Beary Sweet #. That's it for now, just like to say to my followers and the really nice people who take the time to visit and read my posts 'thankyou'!

Morning all. It's a very chilly one! Today I'll be going on a hop to the Wild Rose Studio...they've got a sketch challenge going on, a nice simple one but I've none of their fab stamps yet and are on my evergrowing stamp wish list!!! So I thought I'd make a matching set used some d/load papers I found in my files while having a tidy up...I didn't realise how much space i'd used with so many files, but I'm hoping slowly to get through it. Papers are from Making Handmade Cards .Com Floradoodles, LOTV image (nearest one I've got to Dulcie's fab illustrations) for their Glitter & Glitz, Lovely Lace for CES # (used some cream folded in half), Wags N Whiskers Lavender & Lace, Crafty Purple Frog Flowers, Stamp Something Thanks, Stamptacular # Time for Giving NO CARDS, CRAFT # Vellum, Creative Card Crew Give Thanks as are two new ones to me...Paper Pretties with a hop too and Crazy Challenges. Just hope my set qualifies for an entry. I've used a pretty flower with Glamour Dust in the corner, sentiment are stamps from American Crafts and cord on bag is from my hubbies new shirt. Just perfect and re-usable!

One for Cuddly Buddly! They've started a new challenge on their blog and their very first 'Cozy Christmas'...used one of their own freebie images, absolutely love this digi skating couple, couldn't just make a card but had to go a little further to make this step card. Used my new Impressabilities Snow plate (I bought off Crafters Companion for their 5th birthday celebrations) for embossing faux snow, had these fab digi cluster of trees from Pollycraft (a freebie maybe from last year all printed for a card i never got round to doing) blinged the tops with Glamour Dust, sentiment from Caz and scrummy yummy ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, lovely people, they even sent some freebies in my package I won from them recently, thankyou to them!

There are Sooo many challenges this one fits into...Lexis Creations Traditional Xmas colours, Stampin for the Weekend Winter, Just Cute Bears Winter Birthday, Paperplay Let it snow as is Anything #, One stop craft is Snow people, Quixotic Paperie Not square/rectangle, Creative Inspirations Winter Wonderland(landscapes), Crafty Pad Red/Green, OSAAT choose a season (christmas), Keep it Simple Evergreen (fir trees, and really this is a very simple card if your components are precoloured or using minimal decoupage pieces), and ofcourse Pollycraft Glittery Christmas. My pics aren't looking good at all, daylight is very poor, I'm not good at photography as I tend to mess up my settings, will need to look at them once more though. Have a good Sunday all!

Penny Black at Allsorts # is It's getting to look alot like christmas, Allsorts is a super sketch i followed, Totally Papercrafts is Snow & Flakes and ABC Christmas is X Xmas (didn't go with the xtra option this time). Hope you like this one, there's plenty of Glamour Dust and bling...strip of acetate to pop out the image, hedgy holding a white snow covered fern. I'll be back later to announce my winner!

Thursday, 18 November 2010

Hello, it's Kaela's day! I'm so thrilled with this image that Faith has given over at Designed 2 Delight, super, super and super again. My card is a titchy witchy 8cm square. I'm entering into their sister challenge Double Delight 'Sparkle' and Faith said we could give her a smile as she comes without one. Well I wouldn't want to frighten the little girl this is going for by sending her a 'mouthless' card. Used the fab sketch from Stampin for the weekend, gorgeous papers from Creative Cottage Poppy Delight, some stamped out butterflies from my Dandelion & Daisy set.

...inside...

...it's an easel card with a matching origami style box made from a square piece..

...blue braid is only attached in 2 small pieces to save some for another card, absolutely love it at the moment...

I've used Brights Promarkers, only ones I have apart from the Pastels one. There's acetate to give Kaela some life with those pretty wings and the same with both butterflies. I'm not sure where the sentiment is from but I found it in my Bugaboo d/load file.

So the other challenges entered are Polka Doodle Gift Box, Wags n Whiskers 'acetate, tissue, vellum', Crafty Cardmakers 'card & matching gift', Digital tuesday 'Anything with wings', Party time Tuesdays Easel card plus you must have 'birthday' somehwere, Whoopsie Daisy is Easels too, Ellephantastic is 'add a butterfly', Flutter by Wednesdays Open theme, Crafty Creations 'beautiful Insides', Rainbow ladys 'edge it' use some kind of punch, Simon Says 'Sparkle' and Fab n Funky is Forget me not (my sentiment, I'd not used it all but found it while tidying up files). My candy ends tomorrow at 6pm GMT, please come back to see if you won!

Monday, 15 November 2010

Two posts in one day. For my second post i have a card to show direct stamping onto card stock, i love doing this but always try each stamp onto scrap paper to see how i really want it to turn out. Poppy outer stamp is separate to the middle one as is the stem, all from Elzybells, sentiment is Penny Black Hugs sheet. Torn some green card ,distressed it a little with old black inkpad, bit of glamour dust for middle of poppy which is stamped with Vivid Red dye ink pad...not too much as this one would obviously be used for a sombre occassion. Found a few challenges to go for and i know sympathy cards mostly show subtle soft colours but I went with the 'Field of Poppies' and as i was watching QVC...saw Martha Stewart Fringe scissors I decided to make a fringey grass for my card.

So Charisma is Sympathy, Crafty Catz is Tearing, Crafty Sentiments is Remembrance as is Rainbow Ladys (new blog to me) and also Daring Cardmakers, I think my dare was straight onto the card!!!
One for Crafters Companion! Afternoon all, didn't think I'd get around for along time to make this card for CC One for the Girls, super sketch to work with (hope I've got all the pieces there...followed Just Cute Bears & Friends colours Black, White and 1 other (red), same as Party Time Tuesdays Pic inspiration and you must have 'Birthday' somewhere on your creation, Teddy Stamper are celebrating their 1st Birthday with a fab hop, so I'll be on that tour aswell after, Anything # is Emboss it, Paper Play is Ribbon,Lace and Flowers, OSAAT is favourite colours and Secret Crafter is Sparkle & Shine.

Lovely ted bear is Popcorn from Crafters Companion, I received in my parcel order free for their 5th birthday. Used 1 promarker beige and 1 copic red, still waiting for my second parcel from QVC to try and mix some promarker colours, first impressions of these pens are how smooth they work into each stroke, great, still got lots to learn though. Machine stitched red ribbon onto lace and fab ticket is from here! There's candy at the top from me and I'll be back in a bit!

Sunday, 14 November 2010

One for the Boys! I have run out of cards to send to Postpals (the boy ones) so I thought I'd make a small batch to keep me covered for emergencies too. The braid/ribbon I had bought many months ago, didn't match with anything at home but just thought it would come in handy one day...and it matches so well, adds texture, with this Digi d/load from Creative Cottage Wild West Monkeys, fabby pre-coloured kit with the scope of quick easy cards, love them, orange is from PP Autumn blossoms. I thought the kids would love something a bit different from the norm of a flat card, so I placed a little acetate tab to make it bounce back. I've almost used every scrap as you can see from the corner bits on the bottom card, gorgeous sentiment from the lovely Paulette who gives away soooo much on her fab blog! These will be flattened before I send them off as the postage rate here is sky high if a little bump stops the whole letter going through their plastic measuring thing. Sometimes I've got to take a few embellishments off anyway especially for the much younger kids for obvious reasons. So all is good today...

Do you think it will go for any challenges...ofcourse it will, namely Cards For Men 'Animals', Pixie Dust Studio # 'Men/Boys in our lives', Stamp Challenges 'Something Digi', Crafty Cardmakers 'Stitching' and One Stop Crafts # is 'pop-ups'. There's candy at the top from me. Hope it's a good Sunday wherever you are, bye!

Thursday, 11 November 2010

One for Wags N Whiskers. This time I used my cute win Joy Ride from Nikki over at Bunny Zoes. I'm sure this little girl is modelled on Nikki's daughter, look at those plaits, I used to have a pair just like them but not so long...gorgeous image, was a joy to colour her in, painted some bike skid marks so she's not flying through the air, look at the kitty, really enjoying that ride in the basket, hoping to try out some Promarkers on images soon, just waiting for the rest of my order from QVC! I've used the fabby papers from The Creative Cottage Poppy Delight, check half circle is something saved from a previous card, sentiment 'Bestest Friends' done on the computer in Leftovers Font, Happy Birthday is stamp from See D's, paper flowers from Simon Says, gems free from a mag, sequins from stash. Challenges entered are WNW sisters/friendship,Sweet Stampin is a pic inspiration (gone with the colours),used sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp, MAWTT is Nice & Bright include flowers and ribbon, (forgot my ribbon which was a bow under one of the flowers, sorry), and Cute Card Thursday is Anything Goes. Fabby!!!

Give Thanks in Remembrance. Today I spare a thought for those who have given their lives in wars, their families who dearly miss that loved person who is no longer with them and that on this day in the UK we take time to remember on the 11th hour, 11th day and 11th month.

Onto my creation... is very much a harvest/autumn card...fab digi image and sentiment from Faith at Designed 2 Delight and for their own # using this fab Harvest Basket, sister # blog Double Delight is CAS (clean and simple),CES Forever Autumn, as is Sew Many challenges, Digital Tuesday never used stash mine is (ric-rac) which I recently bought, Creative card Crew Give Thanks, Crafty Creations Buttons and new one Sparkle-Challenge is a lovely simple sketch, just right! Papers are Autumn Blossoms from Pink Petticoat. Looking at my attempt of the ric-rac bow, it looks a man jumping up and down. Back in a bit!

Tuesday, 9 November 2010

For my second post. This is the gracious Ballerina Fairy once again, just love her to bits and I'll be making a few special cards for Postpals using her, so many thanks Michelle at The Pixie Cottage. This particular card is for their own challenge which is a fab sketch and Recycling (manilla envelope used instead of Kraft card), Crafty Pad is 1 circle and 2 ribbons (pink one layered over the white), Fab N Funky Kraft, Lime & Pink, Pixie Dust Studio, Blue, Pink & Lime (well not much of the blue apart from her eyes), and a new one to me Paper Play Circles. There's still room for more entrants for my candy if you would like to enter, until next time, bye!

A crisp and chilly morning to all! Today I've a little bag to show... I made out of some old DCWV square sheet. No scissors used, and very easy to make as shown on Create & Craft by Hayley West. This creation is showing off these lush and wonderful Gingerbread Ribbons sent to me in a candy bundle from Crafty Ribbons, really really fab quality and I hope they made a lot of money at the NEC, so deserved as they're really generous people! This is no longer with me as I sent it off to Dorset with some other samples but took pics before sending them off :)))) I adore my X Cut snowflake punch, another fab purchase I made some years back and has lasted so well...tag is also from Crafty Ribbons as is the narrower green & red which I've doubled up. All is needed is a hole punch to thread through, bit of tissue paper to hold the yummy goodies and ready to hang on the christmas tree!

Close up of this really yummy ribbon and I shall enter in the Crafty Sentiments #Gift, Christmas Card Challenges is a pic inspiration so I would love to hang these on my tree at christmas, I've got the right colours on my project, Bunny Zoes Crafts Monthly # Christmas but not a Card and lastly a new one I found Keep it Simple # Shape Up. My creation is a hand shaped project. Hope it will do, back in a bit!

Sunday, 7 November 2010

This is one for High Hopes. Please meet She-Baa, lovely stamp to work with for christmas and even easter, so easy to cut around too and i hope you like my little creation. It's not a big card and could have gone overboard with lots of snowflakes and as I'm building up my own collection of cards to send to the special angels, everything has to be fairly flat and this is perfect! So this is a Stair Step card, could have been a normal one like the talented dt's have done over at their blog but I'd tweaked my own template long ago and had to give it a go. Tree in the background is from Toodle & Binks, comes with lots of hearts around branches but I cut them off andsaved them. Paper is from Martine, loving these, sentiment is from Sweet N Sassy Snowflake set heat embossed with blue inkpad and clear embossing powder, X cUt snowflake punch used, blue gems for their centres and bell, blue metallic effect braid from the haberdashers, yes I've had another spend, it's a wonder what you can use on your cards...

...placed some white tissue paper subtly stamped with silver & white snowflakes for snowy effect...

...heat embossed sentiment

...the back, so sorry for dark shading on the bottom left (it's not a smudge), it's on the camera lens, and can't seem to get rid of it...personalised stamp from Scrapmagasinet. I've used it so much and still is the same! There's so many challenges this one fits, so I'll mention them and link up but if i don't meet the requirements please disregard my entry...Charisma 'with love @ christmas', CCT 'gently does it', Bah Humbug 'fancy folds',Winter Wonderland' sing a christmas carol (mine is Silent night, Holy night, all is calm, all is bright), Top Tip Tuesday 'christmas inspired', Anything Challenge, Ellephantastic 'blue',Crafty Calendar 'winter wonderland xtra of snoflakes', Allsorts 'twas the night before christmas', One Stop Craft 'embossing', One stitch ata time 'winter wonderland' and Crafty Purple Frog is 'sparkle'. I think you can see the Glamour Dust, mirri card and braid is kind of sparkly too. There's candy at the top, all I ask is come back to see if you've won! Bye for now all.
