Penny Black Saturday challenge # 46 'anything goes' and ABC challenge ' l for list - 1 ribbon, 3 flowers and 6 brads. This card was at first made for 4 challenges but on close inspection I had missed off elements so now I will be making another card for entry into the others. So the backing paper is actually a sage colour from Pink Petticoat and mauve/lilac paper is Funky Fairys download Love Train 3 which is cuttlebugged with stylized embossing folder. Image is ofcourse PB 'hugs' transparent stamps sheet which has been 3D, the sentiment at the bottom right is from there too, posh flowers with brads in them from old QVC kit, I know there is a total of nine brads but I haven't counted the ones in the flowers, hope it's alright. There is a gold charm on this one and ribbon from stash. Have a great day everyone!

A Spoonfull of Sugar challenge # 49 'blue and green'. Well here we go again, lots of challenges and one card, hope you like :) . Papers 'Morris Dance' are from the lovely Andrea over at Kaboodle Doodles who gave evryone a free download for joining in the latest challenge, can't wait to join them again as I've won a fair few of their downloads, image is from Toodles and Binks ' Matthieu and Arthur', buttons all from stash and fibres came in a candy last year. Finished off with a sentiment stamp my daughter found for me in a £1 box in town. It's very sunny today, so my pic looks too glowy, but you can still see what I've created. I just love the warmer sunnier days, it makes me feel so happy, wishing everyone a happy day too wherever you are!

ABC challenge 'K for keep it simple'. As you can see, it probably looks far from it but was a joy to make as the image was sent in a SU candy from Fiona and I've also used the SU stamppad 'Eggplant' to stamp Anna Griffin's border stamp, love this stamp and in the past I've used it alot to decorate a card which seems a bit plain. I've kept the image as it was sent, and matted it onto the purple card which came in the candy, gems added and ribbon too! Thank you Fiona, I'll get round to using the rest of the wonderful images and card.

A Spoonfull of Sugar challenge # 48 sketch by Caryn and Just Magnolia challenge # 2 'pink and green'. Wow, I've managed to punch out this doily effect circle in one go using Debbie Moore 'fireworks' punch, it's so versatile. When I'm new to trying out, I always use scrap paper so not to waste 'good, money spent paper'.So the backing paper is from a candy last year when I started blogging, sorry doesn't have any make on it, kept the yellowy border at the bottom, pale green is from Pink Petticoat ' Sundaes' kit sage sheet, image is ' baby tilda' ofcourse, two pink padded flowers with gems in the middle and pink ric-rac from Juliets candy. Hope everyone is happy in blogland and thank you for visiting, once again thank you to the new people coming to take a peek at my blog, thank you for leaving your comments.

New Stampavie Challenge which I had found last week but was too late to take part in, but neverthe less here is my entry for # 2 using Stampavies 'lily and milo, for you' I think it is. Any way this week it is 'pink and brown and green if you want', and I've used Dawnys sketch # 13 from Papertake Weekly, so my papers are from Basic Grey 'Sultry' pad, the bright pink is paper from stash just lying around but I think it goes well. Fiskars 'sunburst' punch to create the side border and brown ric-rac i think it is called, fiskars decorative scissors around image and a touch of glitter glue. I so enjoyed creating this and the blossoms sheet I couldn't resist using as it's everywhere where i am. I love the warmer weather and look forward to see the gardens filled with colour! Hope you like my creation and thanks so much for stopping by. Bye for now.

Hello all! Well, I'm so humbled to see that my followers numbers are going up, so thank you to those of you who have decided to follow and leave me some nice comments, it is truly appreciated! I was thinking since I have had some nice goodies from family, I should at least try to use some instead of just looking, stroking, some more looking before I put them away in my draw. I'm sure there are plenty crafters out there that do the same. Here is a tag for the Basic Grey challenge # 31 which is' paper piecing' and this is my first entry to this one as I just found it. So there are rules to follow: to use a Basic Grey item, not to combine if you want entry for a prize and get it in before Friday. I've paper pieced 'my sweet lili' from the 'sultry' 6x6 pad, pink paper in the background is from Funky Fairy Inspirations 'love train part 3', brown is a left over scrap from another card, MS doily lace punch and swiss dots embossing folder used, flower from a previous candy, pink brad from old QVC kit and finished with some posh ribbon. Hope I've fulfilled all the requirements, there are some beautiful entries aswell as the DT work which is superb!

Funky Fairys Challenge 12 this week is a recipe' one image, two papers, three embellishments. Papers are their own freebie 'swirls', owls image from the 'love train part 8', sentiment from Studio G stamps and I've placed it there as there was big patch of white space rather than centralising it, and the three buttons and thread from stash, sorry about the darkness in the back, the sun is out in all its glory but now I might have to play around with the setting on my camera as I'll try to take more pics outside. Hope everyone is enjoying crafting whether it be inside or out with all the gorgeous weather we're having in the UK. Bye for now!
Let's celebrate the very first challenge at the brand new challenge blog Just Magnolia! Wow, have you seen how many entries there are already? Well, I just had to have a go with this 'tilda by the sea' stamp w/coloured with my Koi's on w/colour paper instead if card this time. The papers are from Dovecraft 'wild blossom' designed by a British Designer Kate Knight and they are so bright and summery, I'm sure I'll be using them alot. They are matted and layered with papers from my own stash, circle is from Debbie Moore's 'Fireworks' multi punch and it can make squares as well as borders, flowers are from a candy, brads my own, sentiment from See D's, doodling with glitter gel pen to finish. Penny Black # 44 'gift' and A Spoonful of Sugar # 47 'to die for'. This is a bookmark, I've created, inspiration from Carole, really liked how it was made and so simple, perfect for a little bookworm in my family who came to visit us for the holidays so this will be in the post along with a male version for the other child as soon as I've completed the pair! so this was a spare strip of card folded in half, decorative Fiskar scissors to chop off the two corners which I re-used on the image, paper is leftover scrap from free download from Funky Fairys Inspirations'doodlementals', image and text from PB transparent 'hugs' sheet, Fiskars 'Sunburst' border punch along the bottom and the all important die is the mirri board button die in 'Baby Face' from Cuttlebugs own range, ribbon threaded through and the left-over dots used along the bottom for a bit of accent! Hope you like this creation, my very first bookmark on this blog, will get my brain to work for the male version now, hope all is well around where you are,we are having miserable, misty weather with overcast.

Funky Fairys Challenge 11 'dare to be square' and High Hopes challenge 26 'paper piercing'. The paper is from their own FF 'love train' freebie, love these papers, yellow is from a freebie pack of embellishments that arrived with a magazine last year, image is High Hopes 'She-baa Sheep'from the super talented Nicole as are the toadstools, corner stamp is from Stempelglede, text stamp is from Tesco's, bell came with a candy from Toni last year, thanks! So ink is a mini ink pad I bought off QVC Anna Griffin kits and still as juicy when I bought it a couple of years ago, my first time I've pierced holes using my sewing machine (inspiration through bunny-zoes blog, thanks Nikki so much for the lovely tip), MS doily lace punch look a bit like piercing so I used that on here too!

Sunday, 12 April 2009

Friday Sketchers # 47, ABC 'i for inside' to decorate the inside of your card/project and Cute card Thursday # 55 ' Marshmallows and Chocolate'. I've used a normal 6 inch by 4 inch card for this creation only to square it off using my bone folder as you will see below. Papers are my newest present and the first time I've tried Basic Grey ' sultry' 6 x 6 pad. Gorgeous design on this one to go with my pink base, punched swirls out of mirri board and made them fit in the corner as for sketch ( I don't have any swirl dies yet so i improvised), so sweet image is from Pink Gem 'fairy mimi', w/coloured with my Koi's and pink micro fine glitter to her wings, scallop is handcut and doodled, text is a foam stamp from Tesco's and I love the swirly font on it, it's heat embossed with 'copper' from Personal Impressions, gems added and on to the 'inside'...

...I've used the surplus of the folded card to make a little wallet to hold gift voucher or pics or even image stamps, co-ordinated with the BG papers but before I glued the edges down, I tied some co-ordinating thread and put a charm through one and a gem on the other, so now they will stay in place and that is my inside, nothing extravagant as you may notice I don't do insides at all, so this was the best I could think of. Hope this marshmallow and chocolate is to your delight... all the chocolates are almost gone in my household. Have a fabulous Easter Bank Holiday!

Friday, 10 April 2009

Papertake Weekly ' Dawny's sketch # 12' and A Spoonfull of Sugar # 46 'how old?'. Well, I ve used the Sundaes kit for the image off Pink Petticoat, papers from Kaboodle Doodles 'Party Picnic' and 'Pink', the age is stamped with Melissa Frances clear stamps and some mini stamps, used a few copics for the bright colours for the image and chalked and added glitter glue gel, pinched some hearts from the kids box, mini brads from old QVC kit. Hope everyone is enjoying the easter holidays, kids have all of next week off too, so there'll be plenty to do! Have a fun day.

Kaboodle Doodles challenge # 5 is 'not a card' and I thought this would be perfect for all the mummies who don't have time to make individual easter baskets for the many children who like to egg-hunt and perhaps would like to give away a pouch with some goodies inside. This creation is a Diaper-Fold Pouch which is so easy to make simply out of a square of your favourite card and can be found here. Paper is Kaboodles own download - 'party picnic blue', bunny and egg stamp from mini Studio G stamps and bit of doodling! Tissue paper for comfort the delicate eggs, which have already gone I'm afraid! Have a great sunny day, it is wonderful again today and it makes me feel very happy indeed. I was suppose to have a mini break from blogging but as you can see I'm still here ; )

Penny Black challenge # 43 'easter', and I've used the stamp I'd won on this creation. PB stamp is of course 'dream a dream' and I stamped the bear again to give a 3d effect, the cuttlebugged embossing paper was lightly stamped with Studio G clear stamps mini tulips before I ran it through, orange border is Debbie Moore 'fireworks' punch and the left over flowers used on the ted bear, bright hot pink ribbon, flower and brad from Juliet's candy and sentiment is handwritten, green gems from Josey Rose boutique, gems, and glamour dust added. Funky Fairys challenge # 10 'green', and I've used my very first Elzybells stamp which I bought to take advantage of the free shipping weekend. Wow fast delivery and a little lolly in the package too! Paper is ofcourse their own from FF free downloads 'swirls' and this week you can't combine it with any other challenge :( , so I nearly didn't make this one as I prefer to combine :) , well any way here it is and I can already see many possibilities with this stamp and I love it, 'cat in window' is the image with cat stamped again and raised on foam squares, sentiment is from Funstamps, MS doily lace punch and a bit of brown from Summer Driggs free download paper from previously left over card, bit of Deco-art Glamour Dust and finish!
